Reviews of Hill Brothers Transportation Headquarters
"Been here roughly a month. It doesn't take a company very long to show it's true colors, especially when there's so many different moving parts. So far, I think it's great. My favorite thing about Hill Bros. is the accountability. A manager from every department came in during orientation and said that Hill Bros. isn't perfect but everyone is doing their best and if you're patient and just talk to them, they will do everything they can to address your issues. Turns out THAT'S TRUE!!! This place is full of good, honest, laid back people who just want to do a good job. They, like most companies are concerned with profit BUT their concern for their people far outweighs the bottom line. They know that if they do not take care of their employees, company morale will plummet thus generating loss in all a companies dynamics--including revenue. They have been transparent from day one. Everyone, from dispatch to the mechanics to the safety department have been and continue to be reachable and helpful around the clock. My dispatcher told me that he would answer the same question five times just to ensure that I understood what I needed to. I am so thankful that I answered the recruiting call from Hill Bros. I think I finally found a home here. SPECIAL SHOUTOUT to Karen, who is like the companies directory. My dispatcher's Randy, Tina and Ryan...you guys are THE BEST! The maintenance shop that I end up calling at least twice a week. And all the staff (sorry I don't remember everyone's name yet) that have answered the never ending list of questions I have or at the very least have pointed me in the direction of someone who could. Thank you so much Hill Bros! I am thankful to be a part of such a great team! UPDATE**** it’s been about two years and I still love it here!"
"We booked a load with broker David Hennings, shortly after booking the load he tells us load is cancelled, meanwhile the shipping customer calls the driver and asks if the truck is brokedown because Mr David relayed that information to them. Mr David did not provide us any reliable and clear explanation and suddenly started stuttering and started repeating that the load is cancelled. Please do not waste your time with this broker."
"Avoid working with the brokerage and hauling loads with them. We got delayed at shipper for over 5 hours and we had a delivery next day in Walmart. I did report to the brokers what is going on and I didn't get an answer for over an hour and a half. I had to act quick and change the delivery appointment myself. We did the delivery and one day later I got a call from Jesse Boyer (Vice President of Logistics) and was informed I will be charged $150 for doing this , no matter we have a signed rate confirmation and there are no charges for such a thing. We understand market is tough for all parties , but we don't think taking from drivers money is right either."
"Their drivers only care about themselves nobody else had a guy tonight as I (another trucker) was parking at loves in Kingman, AZ he just cut in front of me as I was about to pull forward he's lucky I noticed and didn't hit him.. I posted a picture of his truck to Google for everyone to see truck #3007"
"Well they will lie to you to get you recruited. Then they will lie to you some more. And if that's not enough. They will take you to court because you quit. Why would any driver want to work for these people? No better than any Werner or Swift imo. Everybody I talked to seemed like they hated drivers, including the shop foreman. And that's a bad sign to me."
