"The only reason I'm giving it a 1 star, is because of the lady who tried to help me who's office was the front one in the building. Otherwise for the gentleman who helped me, I'd give a 0 if I could. So the story goes, that I came down to get my taxes done since I've had a complicated year for it and didn't want to try to do it myself. Darren was the "professional" I was assigned to. Don't get me wrong, he helped out during the appointment just fine. Even helped explain details to me so I could understand better. He said if anything came back saying that I was to owe from the taxes instead, to come back to him. At first it came back saying that I wasn't going to get the 3rd stimulus package. I came back by every week, and both days they were open if I could, to try to talk to him and figure out the answer to it. He was never there. I tried to call the office multiple times as well. After while of trying, the lady up front gave me some advice to look into my own records to see about it. As I did that, I received a letter from Nebraska saying I owe them instead of getting a refund and had 60 days to try to contest it. I tried to bring this to him as well to get some answers about this. I came back to the office to try to get him to look at it and tell him that I had figure out in my records about the refund. Yet as per usual, he was never there. The front lady gave me his direct business card with his cell number. Weekly I would call, text, and leave voicemails for him. Maybe once in a while, he'd reply something like, "I'm busy now but will call back later." He never did. Only once did he call me back because his collogue gave him a call, telling him to contact me. Even then he just took a photocopy of the letter and said he'd look at it. Never once did he ever try to help me actually get answers. I had to go find them both time. I actually called into the Department of Revenue to find out the answers he could never give. After spending 2 hours on the phone with them, it came to light that due to him altering the tax returns, trying to help for only living half a year in Nebraska, turns out was correct from the beginning. For whatever reason, my paychecks from that previous employer weren't taking out enough. Yet he hadn't thought it was correct and tried to fix it himself. So now after months of trying to be patient and work with him, I now owe $600 because of the work he did. Thank you, Darren, for everything you did wrong and everything you didn't do to help."
