"I would advise anyone to go elsewhere than H&R block. I should have learned my lesson years ago when all I had was a simple W2 from work and was charged $275 by Earl to file my taxes. No kids, not married, no student loans, did not own a house, had no investments or interest accumulating in anything... that is an OUTRAGEOUS price and I was taken advantage of. I had recently moved out into my first apartment and was way too trusting of the older man with gray hair across the table helping me. (By the way Earl, I hope you feel good about taking home I would guess $200ish of that from a 20 year old female just starting out on her own in life- way to be a good person.) This year, I did them online myself and as advertised, I expected it to be $0 since I did all the work myself. At check out, I am forced to choose add on things for a fee of $30+. I reached out to customer service because I do not need a subscription or any add on. GabrielAshley C was my customer service representative and absolutely no help after waiting for 45 minutes. TURBO TAX has my business here on out."
