"This place feels like home to us. My husband and I lived at Glenbrook for about 2 years and I am glad that we did! Rent is fairly cheap, quiet neighborhood, close to a bus stop, a few minutes walking to three different supermarkets. The building is a bit old like most buildings in the area, but with brand new appliances, and extremely efficient A/C and water systems. Both water and air temperatures go from one extreme to the other very quickly. The plus is that since it’s a small company, you can complain your issues directly to the property owner. By the way, Jason is a great manager, incredibly nice and welcoming. No matter how upset you are about anything related to the apartment, he and his family will make you calm down and just solve your problem (they are good at it!). As we moved out of Iowa we had to leave the apartment. Otherwise, we definitely would stay there. Thank you, Jason and family!"

"I lived in a one bedroom apartment in the Glenbrook building for a year while attending Iowa State and I loved it. Jason (property manager) was extremely helpful and professional, he gives you his personal phone number so you can easily reach him. The building is a little older but they just added a keypad entry to the building which is very nice! The apartments are pretty nice and feel very homey. Overall I had an great experience renting from Prairie Oak Properties and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an good quality apartment for a great price."

"Very fair prices and I love the management. We’ve had pretty good experience with everyone within the family who owns Prairie Oaks. Every maintence issue gets resolved in a reasonable amount of time. They’re really understanding and for the price, I think it’s one of the best places in Ames. My building has security codes to enter as well as lock boxes for larger packages which makes me and my roommates (all female) feel really safe in the area. Other tenants are a mix of college students and older demographics but noise has never been an issue. We decided to stay with prairie oaks for another year because of the great service. You can’t beat it for the price and location!"
