Sherwood Glen Apartments

"EDIT: Update in 2024. I had removed a start because of poor maintenance. However, it seems that may be improving. Emergency maintenance was very responsive when the water randomly was off in my apartment one night and it was back on within the hour, and they called me to update me. And the last small maintenance issue I had was fixed within a week. I hope this trend of faster maintenance response continues. EDIT: Update in 2023. I've taken a star off because maintenance has gotten pretty bad. It's taking ages to get maintenance to even go look at things. My last request was for a slow leak on my faucet. After a month someone finally showed up and then my work order was just cancelled without it getting fixed. The apartments are still good to live in but they desperately need more and better maintenance or it's going to go downhill fast. I've lived at Sherwood Glen for over six years now. The apartment is nice; right before I moved in they redid the tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom. There's pretty decent storage for an apartment. I just wish there was more counter space in the kitchen. My building is usually pretty quiet and when there were problem tenants they didn't stay for too long. Management is good about responding to issues. The maintenance guys are great! All of maintenance requests have been responded to promptly and they'll keep coming back if it's not fixed the first time (Shout out to Travis who dealt with my leaking toilet over a couple weeks). There was also no problem getting my air conditioner replaced this year when it finally died-it took a while to get the parts but management gave me a portable A/C to use that worked really well and kept me comfortable. It's also very pet-friendly and my cat and I are happy here. Rent does go up every year but thus far it's been a reasonable amount and not ridiculous. I'm happy with my experience and intend to stay."

"I cannot recommend this place to live in at all. I've lived here twice in separate apartments over the past three years. The first time was great. The office staff was always on point and responded quickly to issues or concerns. The maintenance team was fabulous as well. I moved out because my roommate and I ended up getting our own places (Sherwood didn't have anything then or I would have just gotten a smaller apartment there). I came back six months later when my lease at the next place ended because of how much I liked it. But that's when things changed. About a month after I moved into my new apartment (8821 #808) the old manager left, and her staff followed her. The new team could not be more horrible. I had several maintenance issues that were never addressed or took over a YEAR for them to be. We had a lightning strike to the building and it blew a GCFI outlet in the kitchen. It did what it was supposed to do and stopped my items from being fried, but it took 16 months for that to be replaced. And it even wasn't replaced up to code - just a normal outlet was used. The GCFI also blew in my bathroom, that one was never replaced. A bigger deal was a lit cigarette that fell through the deck of my upstairs neighbors and set my deck on fire while I wasn't home (and my two cats were). Never fixed that, never talked to the neighbor about it - nothing. The windows leak, the screen was ripped by their power washing team, the A/C and furnace were on their last legs to where I had to use a portable A/C this summer. In my garage, there were visible holes in the wall that ruined about $500 worth of items (Including my Christmas tree). Nothing (except the outlet, and not to code) was done about any of these issues. Even with multiple calls and emails. I knew they would take my deposit to fix "issues" that weren't there. But that's besides the point - best $200 I ever spent to get away from that place. Please - look somewhere else. As a Google Local Guide, I don't like leaving bad reviews unless a place deserves it, and Sherwood/Elevate Living definitely does fit that definition. This place has turned to slumlords that do not care about anything at all except getting your money."

"Lived there for over 6 years property got worse and worse when I complained about things not being fixed they said we don’t have enough Maintenance crew for all the properties. Rented a garage had issues requested they be fixed they where never fixed over a year to order parts that where never ordered if you want a place that gets it done right away this isn’t the place . Only nice part about the property is the trees and that they allows dogs. Would not recommend it’s a clown show ."
