"Moved in under a the previous management company. They were great! New management company took over and it was a disaster from the start. My rent was increased by $650 a month after getting a $150 increase just a couple months prior. I had a a couple things that needed to be fixed, like a fridge that leaked. Weeks went by and maintenance never came by to fix it. I gave notice. I went to the office no less than 6 different times to talk to someone since my deposits I provided upon move in were different than what the new company listed. I talked to the manager several times and each time she said she would take care of it and get back to me. Nope. Never got an email or phone call. Even after coming back to the office. My deposit was returned late and was much less than what I paid and no explanation provided. And no one from the office can ever give an answer why. Late deposit returned and no explanation as to why money was taken out are both illegal practices. It just wasn’t worth it to battle them out and I think they know they are exhausting and the amount of time it would take probably isn’t worth it for most people. So they will continue to do this. Reading reviews, I’m not the only one they did this to. Do not recommend living here."
"Just recently moved out of Maple Grove Villas on the 17th of June and I have been calling office number listed since leaving to give them my forwarding address for our deposit. But no one ever answers. When I send an email through app or online all I get back is a generic response and nothing else. Overall experience was good there, but trying to reach them to get my deposit back has been a nightmare! I can’t even find their corporate number to call! Only gave two stars because it was an okay place to live. UPDATE!!! So I finally got my deposit back and it was nowhere near the amount of the deposit I put down! Best part is there was no explanation as to why it was so low!! And shocker no one is answering the phones again!!"
"I would not recommend Maple Grove Villas Apartments. I decided to call to schedule a tour. Upon entering the leasing office, there was an african american lady sitting at a desk. She did acknowledge me but in a rude manner. She was more concerned about what was on her computer than me, a potential customer. There was another African American lady in the office who asked me if I was scheduled for a tour, although I called ahead of time. Within the first five minutes, I could tell they they were unorganize, not friendly, and lacked customer service, which explains the reviews. I knew at that point I wasn't interested anymore but I decided to check out the units anyway since I was there with my son. As I suspected, the units are mediocre. They have outdated appliances, cabinents, and worned out carpet. Not to mention, there was someone speeding through the parking lot. If you’re looking for a townhome in a great community with professional/welcoming staff, then go somewhere else. Hope this helps!"
"Have lived here with my wife and kids for 2 years. We were paying 1075 for a 3 bedroom unit. For those 2 years and for the most part we had a great experience here. But unfortunately they've come under new ownership (Highland Vista). Since they've taken over, getting any assistance when it comes to maintenance has been almost impossible. I know over the last 2 weeks there were 6 units completely without AC during 90 degree days for the entirety of those 2 weeks. Luckily we were not one of those units because we have kids and I would've lost my marbles. Beyond the maintenance issues the general complex has been let go as well. There's weeds growing rampid all over, trash laying around, and glass/shards of sharp material all over the roads. There's also been very sketchy issues around random charges to our resident account. I've had so many random small charges on my account that it's beginning to look more like my checkings account rather than what should be 2 charges monthly (rent, water/sewer). I also racked up around 400 dollars in late fees from a few months that I didn't know I hadn't paid my water/sewer after we were switched to a new system to pay our bills. The amount that I owed for water and sewer was probably 130~ but somehow I ended up having to pay 550 which is absolutely absurd and I don't know how that's legal. As well I came in each month during those 3 months with a check to pay rent and the management never notified me there was an issue. Also never got a call/email telling me I had late fees/late payments until about a month ago when I got a call telling me I had 400 dollars I needed to pay that day or there'd be another 100 dollar late fee. I tried to pay immediately but their resident portal requires verification through your bank account which takes 1-3 business days so I wasn't able to pay it that day. We've also been dealing with black mold in our place for awhile and we finally got someone to come and all they did was clean the exterior of the vents but obviously that doesn't solve the issue. If anyone is reading this thinking about making this their new home I'd highly recommend against it."
"I used to love living here. Ever since the new management company has taken over it’s been a terrible experience. I can’t ever get anyone to answer emails or answer the phones. The office is locked half the time to stop people from coming in, so if you need anything no one is there to help you. They also rose the rent 150 dollars for everyone and are charging over 1400 for very outdated units. They also do not pay for trash anymore (which was the only thing they paid for before) There is no communication. There is no landscaper anymore so weeds are everywhere in the plant beds and the parking lot. I was treated really horribly by Holly when I was able to talk to someone finally in the office. Just depressing. I wish the old managers would come back because Angie and Allie were amazing. The new management company seems to only care about money. Hopefully it gets better but from every single person I’ve talked to, we are all having a lot of problems and no one seems to care."
