Nove Lofts - Omaha

"Run away. Paper thin walls and floors. As others have stated, these units look nice but are very poorly built. I could hear my neighbors sneeze and have normal conversation. Don’t even get me started on the CONSTANT STOMPING. Also as another person pointed out, my unit was also very poorly sealed. During the summer, it was extremely humid indoors and I also had an infestation of clover mites, spiders, and MAGGOTS. Disgusting. I kept my apartment spotless so there was absolutely no reason for maggots to be all over my floor. They were crawling in from the grass where all of the dogs ran around so it probably came from their poop I imagine. I also did not have my appliances in at move in and had to basically force them to go pick some up for me. Awful experience, would give 0 if I could."

"Cute apartments but not worth the money. I signed a lease for the 4th floor, they called back a week later saying something changed but they had the exact layout on the 3rd floor and when the 4th was available I could move without charge. Time came, they ended up not honoring that agreement so I have been on the 3rd floor almost 6 months now. I hate it everyday and am so unhappy here. Walls are paper thin, you hear every step above you and can hear what your neighbors are listening to through the wall. You as well as your neighbors/above have control of the light and fan in the bedroom which has woken me up countless times. I cannot wait to move!! The only good thing about this place is the maintenance man because he comes as soon as you put the order in. 0/10. Don't make the same mistake I did."

"If i could give 0 stars I would. Don't believe the nice photos, this place is not the place you want to live. The few nice reviews are probably because at one point management bribed us with $50 off our lease if we wrote one. There are a mix of reasons why this place is not great. First, the actual building. Built very poorly and cheaply. Lived here less than a year and my AC/heat went out at least 4 times. The walls are extremely thin, and on ground floor i had a little crack between floors and walls so I was constantly battling the influx of insects into my space. My bedroom window was so poorly sealed that the first time it rained i woke up to my bedroom floor covered in water. The security locks on the doors in the garage do not work, so anyone off the street can enter the building. There were constantly messes in the hallways on the carpet that would go days without being cleaned. Second, the manager. I could write a novel, but in summary, extremely incompetent and unprofessional. I was given the wrong mail key upon moving in. She didn't add me to the luxor package machine or call box until I asked multiple times. At one point she came into my apartment without warning me. I only knew because my alarm notified me I had an intruder. When I called, she did say it was her, but instead of owning up to it said she "accidentally was on the wrong floor." This was the last straw of feeling unsafe so I moved out shortly after. And when i moved out i asked about returning my deposit and she said she had 14 days to send it. After 20 days I reached out again and she still had not mailed it so i had to ask again. The one redeeming quality is the maintenance man Jake. He is extremely professional and responsive."

"So far, overall, my experience here at Nove Lofts has been a good one. When I initially signed my lease, there was a previous property manager who was sometimes tough to get a hold of, but the current property manager & team have been a pleasure to interact with. Beth, the manager, always responds promptly to any needs, always keeps us abreast of any updates, and always hand delivers any packages that may have gone astray (usually when the package lockers are out of service/down). Candice always ensures the space is clean and feels like "home" and she is always brainstorming ways to improve the interior of the space. Jake always responds to any maintenance needs swiftly, does quality work, and is always considerate about timing & respectful of our space. Sunshine, in accounting, has been helpful with answering any rent statement questions. While I will say that sometimes neighbors can be heard, I suppose that's to be somewhat expected in an apartment complex. I do also think the building could have been built better or possess a higher quality with respect to certain areas/items. In any case, the current property management team is A+, and it is evident that they care about Nove Lofts & its residents."

"I have lived at Nove for 5 months now and have had nothing but good experiences. The maintenance guy, Jake, is so very helpful and anytime that I need his assistance he is responsive right away and helps me out within the hour. The cleaning gal, Candice, takes passion in what she does and the building is always clean and smelling fresh. I run into her often and she is just oh so sweet. The manager, Beth, I’ve only spoken with a few times but she is very patient, professional, and will always say hi when I see her. I love it here lots and feel so blessed to live surrounded by such great people. Will 100% be resigning my lease."
