"I lived here for 2 years and there were many positives, and many negatives. Overall, my actual unit was very cute and anytime I had an issue maintenance would repair it fast. However, there were multiple thefts and just sketchy things that would go on in the building and outdoors that swayed me to move. Management did not do anything about multiple thefts even when multiple people reported them. Bikes that were locked up on bike racks in the basement would get stolen almost routinely every couple months, yet management refused to install cameras. Packages and keys in the front door lock box would get stolen, but there was nothing to follow up on with it because there are no cameras ANYWHERE in the building. I witnessed multiple times employees of urban villages would come through and take everything off the bulletin board (Good and bad things) because someone had wrote a complaint and was trying to get other tenants to report the problem as well. Instead of addressing the issues, urban villages choose to be angry and petty. Rent will also increase drastically each year, even if it is not worth the value of the actual unit (no dishwasher, tiny kitchen, no in unit washer/dryer, the list goes on and on). Loved my unit and its charm, and also really liked the maintenance people, but the people in office need to be more amenable to the tenants."

"Earning of a 2 star based on the simple fact that their “Credit Reports” are solely only based on Experian -FICO2 score. As a former credit specialist with Insider knowledge of credit reporting this is considered an unfair discriminatory act based solely on the report of one FICO score. (Considering they have to pay for services to pull credit scores, they also can choose who they will gain this information from) Hence why it’s a “legal” practice. In total there are 3 major Credit Bureaus, and three scores that should “hypothetically” make up your credit average. So unless you only deal with lenders who report solely to Experian. My suggestion would be to not waste your time."

"Management refuses to do simple things like putting up security cameras after multiple thefts/break-ins/missing entrance keys. Also, brace yourself for $200 rent increase every month. Avoid!"

"Place states no smoking yet people are allowed to smoke and cause 2nd hand smoke pollution with no recourse."
