"Wouldn’t recommend living there. Lived there for two years and it got progressively worse as time went on and management had turnover (have had 3-4 managers in my time span). Management doesn’t follow through with what they say they are going to do. People have talked to top management and nothing gets done. There has been a mass exodus of people leaving due to the way the property is being managed. The residents I have spoken to have said they are moving out as soon as their lease is up as well. There are no resident events, used to happen almost monthly. The trash room stayed continuously full and overflowing, it was disgusting. Garage doors are frequently broken and not working. As a result of the broken doors peoples cars were broken into. Would recommend using the Park Omaha lot across the street, it’s cheaper and has working doors. Maintence would go into apartments without a heads up. They walked in on a friend who was in the shower. When I put in a maintenance request I asked for notice of entering my apartment due to having a dog and working from home, this request was often ignored. Maintenance also had to move my dresser to access my heater and broke my TV in the process. About two and half weeks prior to move out my bathroom light went out, I asked about getting it fixed every couple days, when I moved out it was still burnt out. There is no grounds crew to keep the outside clean. Lived on the front of the building and it flooded everyday ruining outdoor furniture I had. We had a opossum problem last summer and had 3 running around the building and hanging out on the front patios and around the pool, when we talked to management they said to call animal control to handle it. We ended up catching one ourselves (as residents) to move it. There were often used cigarettes thrown onto my patio - I am not a smoker. For being a “smoke free” property a lot of people smoke on their patios. Also smells heavily of marijuana all over the building. Dogs poop in the hallway. The parcel pending system breaks often and would hold packages hostage. Lack of security, would find homeless people sleeping in building entry way and lobby. They would also be sleeping out at the pool due to garage door not closing and the back door not locking properly. Thin walls, you can hear all your neighbors. Residents can rent the community room, these events are loud and obnoxious and leave a mess behind. The pool is very dirty, and overrun by families with little kids who don’t live at the building. Parents didn’t tend to their children resulting in messes in the pool. Two summers ago we started with plenty of pool chairs for people and by the end of summer there were like three chairs. People would drive their cars on the sidewalk very recklessly, almost hitting pedestrians. It was never posted that the shared patios had certain hours, management didn’t address this until after residents brought it to their attention. Management has gone to various residents to help with the upkeep of property from pulling weeds and cleaning the garbage room to kicking other residents off of the shared patio spaces. Management is really good at deflecting any responsibility for the way the property is run. Only positive is the location, would recommend checking other apartments in the Old Market such as Breakers, Brickline, or Old Market Lofts."
"I only have been here at the Corvina for a little over a month but thought I would give the perspective of being new to this apartment and really just being new to Nebraska. I hope this info helps. 1. The biggest perk of this apartment is the location… walking distance to old market which is a really neat area for little shops and restaurants, but the best thing is you don’t get the noise from old market. 2. The apartments… so far so good. Noise levels aren’t bad. Most of the noise comes from the door to the hallway which can be annoying with loud residents coming through. The appliances aren’t new but aren’t bad. The dishwasher is loud so don’t run it if you plan to watch a movie. I’ve never had the combo washer/dryer before so it seems off but it gets my clothes clean. 3. Amenities… gym is great. For the time I’ve been here it is not used a lot which is great if you want the whole place to yourself. The pool is really beautiful. However… it is not deep (4.5 ft is the deepest) it tends to get crowded and loud so I avoid it. But if you time it right then you can get it all to yourself. 4. Security… best I’ve seen. There are enough security points in the apartment that I feel quite safe. Of course the residents are going to be the biggest risk for compromising safety if they strangers in. 5. Parking… be aware that the best areas have a waiting list. If you get a spot in the lower level heated parking be aware of the columns! It is a tight fit so unless you have the all around sensors and a backup camera it will be tricky to navigate. I have a Jew grand Cherokee and I feel like you can’t go much larger than that to fit down there. 6. Residents… this is always a changing factor but there is a mix of young to more senior folks living here which is a good combo so you don’t have to worry about late night college parties although there are always the loud residents that you have to deal with regardless."
"I had a pleasant experience at first during my time at the Corvina. Newer apartments in an excellent downtown location, place was clean and well kept at first. A really nice place to call home. This changed quickly in the last few months as obvious signs of low effort is now put into maintaining and cleaning the building as it once was. There is missing siding leaving the inner wall exposed to the elements on one side, broken windows in the garage that have been only replaced with plywood or not at all. Massive oil slick from winter supplies still not cleaned up at now the end of summer that I have to walk through to get to my vehicle. Broken bottle glass still not cleaned up after a few months. Burned out lights that still haven’t been fixed in months. Landscaping has not been kept up all season. Stairwells and hallways that have not been cleaned with severely stained carpet in both in the building and garages. Furnace filters haven’t been changed in 8 months. Haven’t been able to enjoy the pool as the only time I was there this year it was dirty and another resident was going to get personal supplies the clean it. I was completely ignored for a month and half when I had a question about my lease renewal only to have management not honor a proposal they sent and agreed too. It was over a 15% increase then on the lease paper work it was over a 20% increase. It’s definitely not worth the money, rent and, fees you will spend on for the type of living you are looking for or is being advertise."
"I recently moved into the Corvina and I love it. My daughter had lived here for a year prior to me moving in so I was familiar with the property and its amazing amenities but I was not aware of the day to day offerings it has for its residents. The place is beautiful with water features, art and lounges but it is also warm and cozy. It has a poo, workout facilities and an amazing coffee bar. The apartments are modern and beautiful and it is very dog friendly. The office even has treats for your puppy to enjoy. There is a club room and quiet conference room and events are planned for the residents monthly. I have been blown away with how quickly and efficiently any maintenance request6 is addressed and the communication is fantastic. I love having underground parking too. If you are looking for a place to live downtown Corvina has it all. You will not be dissapointed."
"The Corvina is a great place to enjoy downtown living in a quiet, secure building. The staff is very friendly. Amenities such as covered parking, secure package delivery, and a rooftop deck are just a few of my favorites. The location is just a short walk to everything the Old Market has to offer. Last but not least, the pool! A large, clean pool with lounge chairs was a favorite spot for the summer months."
