D - Edward Jones - Financial Advisor 1410 East Gold Coast Road, Papillion, NE 68046

"Both my children have custodial accounts. These were set up about 15+ years ago through a different Edward Jones location (that seems to have disappeared and does not exist according to the Edward Jones site) and a family member. I was young and naïve at the time and misinformed about the rules and regulations associated with these types of accounts. Long story short, we decided to wait until our son turned 19 so he could gain access to the money we set aside for him. However, he (or us) has no way to access this account since it was set up through a family member and a non-existent Edward Jones associate. We decided to contact another Edward Jones location to get some information about the proper procedure for transferring a custodial account to the minor (now that he has reached the legal age to assume ownership of the account). Today I spoke with Renee at this location. She refused to provide me with any information and was blatantly disrespectful to me when I tried to explain the situation. I have had way better experiences calling Cox Communications than I had trying to get help from this Edward Jones location. I understand that I am not your client and you did not set up the account but you could at least be helpful as I am trying to learn what I need to do to help my son and understand this process. My wife and I have been plagued by these accounts for the last 15+ years and currently our money is being held hostage by Edward Jones."
