"Had my daughter enrolled in competition class, which gets extremely pricey and her grandpa was kind enough to pay for her. She ended up injured and unable to compete in April. The dance intructor said we would be refunded for the competiotions she could not do, and one that her dance didnt end up performing. The instructor has told me she sent her grandpa the refund 3 times then said she sent it via tracking. that was 2 weeks ago and it has still not arrived and she refuses to communicate or answer texts. i would just be aware of what happened and how she has not been honest in this entire process leaving me to have to constantly explain to her grandpa why his refund has not made it yet. beware of this company."
"My daughter has been in the KM Dance Company for a number of years now. She was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, so she had to drop out of gymnastics. Korri, the owner, was extremely kind to our daughter. She welcomed her in and made sure she was safe. Had I been reviewing this place last year, or even several months ago, I would have probably given it a 4/5 star rating. But in light of recent events, I’ve had to change my opinion. Our daughter was at a make-up class on Tuesday night. The class was supposed to get over at 7:15 pm. I arrived at 7:10 pm to pick her up. She was waiting outside alone with tears in her eyes. I asked her what was wrong and she said she had been waiting for a long time. Apparently, Korri let all the other kids go early because their parents were there. This is a three hour class; we drop her off and then pick her up. Korri failed to let us know of this early dismissal, so my daughter was outside alone for a time, confused and scared. Now, my star rating wouldn’t be at a one at this point. But this is where it gets strange. Obviously, as parents, we reached out to Korri. She blamed us for not educating our child to stay inside and blamed my daughter for going out there to begin with. She’s seven, folks. She’s completely not taking responsibility for letting a child out of her sight for several minutes. If class goes until 7:15 pm then it is her responsibility to watch my child until 7:15 pm. She was negligent in her duties and then blamed us. Down to a two star. You might be wondering to yourself, “But you gave it a one star. There’s more?” Yes. She kicked my daughter out of class because of this. I have all of the texts. Never were we rude or hostile; we asked clarifying questions and were obviously concerned. I asked why she was punishing my daughter over something that was her fault. She then completely gaslit my entire family by saying we were always late and always a problem. I have never been late picking her up and the only problems we’ve had are Korri being unorganized. That’s right; on top of our huge concern, Korri also can’t keep a schedule, doesn’t order things in a timely fashion, forgets things, and lies. Don’t even get me started on the whole, “Your reimbursement check hasn’t arrived yet? I sent that out last week” speech that we got from her. Korri’s last salvo was claiming that my wife called her a mess and said that she should be “ashamed of her incompetence.” Ummm…no. That did not happen. Ever. Even a little bit. My wife was always helping that studio by volunteering and watching the kids backstage during recitals. The most important thing is that nothing happened to my daughter. And this review and punishment could have been avoided with a simple apology and some ownership. Instead, my daughter is devastated; she’s been practicing so hard for this recital. She told me she was sad because she’ll never see her friends again. Seems fair… Avoid."
"Great teacher and amazing choreography! 10/10 definitely!"
