"Been coming here for gas, snacks and minor car repairs for 2 years. I appreciate them not taking the opportunity to rip me off over installing an EGR valve on my Cadillac. Decent people, they like my German Shepherds and the employees give them treats sometimes to the point where my dogs now get excited whenever they see this place. I heard this place had a bad reputation, but all of my experiences have been good and I should be a regular customer by now. Cigarettes are overpriced but that is the cost of convenience I guess. I don't mind paying more for cigarettes at 3 am in the morning, just glad they are open that late and I don't have to drive around half the city."
"I have a 2011 Buick Lacrosse CXL, I messed up the motor because it was stuck in mud, and ramming it into drive, then reverse, until I got it out. Unfortunately, I messed up the motor by pushing the accelerator to the floor. It went to Florence Body shop where the exterior was fixed, Bob Soukup recommended "Howells BP" and this is where I met Gary. He took the engine out once and replaced it with another engine, which was bad. He took that engine out and replaced it with a remanufactured motor. I just got it back and it runs really good. Gary is an asset to Howell's BP he worked with from the beginning to the end. My car works really well now, and I was left with the feeling of amazing. I like Gary a lot, and will be taking my car to him from now on. Very honest, very careful, and followed my instructions to the letter. I would recommend Gary and "Howells BP" to anyone. This man is amazing, he will not stop until what is achieved is achieved."
"Roger and John are the absolute best! I take my trailblazer to them and get perfect customer service to go with the great service they perform. They are great! I would recommend this shop to anyone seeking good honest mechanics at a reasonable price. ❤️"
"There is little parking unless you're getting gas. Almost every time I'm in line people step in front of me. Nothing is done about it. I feel like I'm treated like they don't care about my business. The cashiers all talk to other customers while helping me and totally ignore me. Not a fan of this place."
"This station in particular is not even worthy of being rated. I have never encountered someone in a customer service position who was not only rude, but initially refused to refund my money after I paid for gas I never received (pump 3 is faulty and frankly should have a simple Out of Order sign mounted on it). I went in to tell her the screen merely kept saying "One Moment Please" and that I was unable to pump gas. I ran the transaction with my card, which of course gave instant approval for the sale of $35.00 beforehand. I kid you not, these are the first words that came out of her mouth: "You wanted to get the 87 gas instead of the 89 because it was cheaper," when I told her that I was willing to pay extra for the Silver 89 grade before I even swiped my card. "Well, my machine says you pressed 87," she continues. I attempt to cancel the transaction myself out of desperation on the pump's pad, then I go home to find that I'm still being charged after I review my statement, which I expected; she does not come off as a very scrupulous individual and was pretty much going to scam me instead of trying to correct the situation by offering a refund in the first place. ...Are you serious? You didn't even bother to come out and look at the machine, which was not working properly, as I originally tried to express to you, and you assumed right off the bat that I wanted something different from what I asked for "Because it was cheaper?". I asked if there was a way to cancel the transaction, since services to me were not rendered; she decided to ignore me (this ignorant female with an apparently severe case of Hirsutism) and continue whatever nonessential conversation she was having on the store telephone. You are not only incredibly rude, but you use the BP location store phone for personal calls on company time? How dare you? I was so infuriated that I had to ask a close relative to obtain the refund she reluctantly ended up giving after two phone calls to said location, which she, as I previously stated above, did not even want to distribute. She was even rude to my mother on the phone when all she was doing was asking her to give my money back; getting an attitude with not only me, but now my mother? Absolutely unacceptable. Unless you are desperate and on E, I highly recommend that you do not go to this gas station, because the service is extremely poor and half the time, the pumps don't even work. I'm complaining now because this is not the first time that I have had a bad experience at this location, and this is the last time that I will ever go to any BP station for that matter. Learn who your attendants are, do not leave them unsupervised for extended periods of time, and train them properly. This idiot obviously does not have basic people skills and should not be allowed to work a customer service position of any kind, anywhere."
