"I highly recommend the day camp. My kids had a blast and became very comfortable with horses quickly. My girls would talk every day about how much fun they had with games. I absolutely loved the show on the last day when I could see how much my girls had learned. Seeing my timid 6year old up on top of the horse melted my heart. They used words like AWESOME! and GREAT!! when anyone asked them how horse camp went. "My daughter and I take riding lessons together at Thomas Creek Stables. I have been riding Western for less than a year and my daughter has been riding English for a year and a half. The head instructor is good at creating lessons that expose us to the same concept or skill while teaching each of us to our experience level and the standard of our discipline. We love that we can ride together and still get the individualized instruction that we need in order to progress in our riding. The instructor makes each lesson interesting and fun by incorporating obstacles, games, or skills from different disciplines. She is knowledgable of many riding disciplines, Natural Horsemanship, and is very in tune to horse behavior. She weaves that understanding into everything we learn and any challenges we face. One thing we think is special about Thomas Creek is that we are learning about nearly every aspect of horsemanship. As part of our lessons, we handle the horses on the ground, tack them up/down, and bathe and groom them. I feel that our time at Thomas Creek is giving us the full horse experience and preparing us to potentially own our own horses someday. We are very appreciative to the owners and staff, who are making constant improvements to the facilities and programs. My daughter is excited to have the opportunity to participate in her first in-house horse show in a few weeks, and I will be participating in two clinics this fall. We are grateful to have these extra opportunities to learn. We love riding at Thomas Creek!"
