"The interior definitely hasn’t seen an update in 6+ years so that’s a blast from the past. The food is alright but wouldn’t be my first pick. Nothing stands out to make this place better than the average Chinese restaurant. There was an obvious language barrier between me and the lady working which I didn’t mind too much but it was still odd ordering."

"There's no place better for great-tasting food at a reasonable price than Lotus. The food is always good, always hot, and always right. If you leave hungry, it's your fault cuz they serve very generous portions. The Shrimp Fried Rice is the best anywhere! We drive from Cedar Falls nearly every week cuz the Chinese food in Waterloo/Cedar Falls sucks! We come here so much, they know our orders by heart. The staff is great too! Best people anywhere!"
