"Aldi is one of my favorite places for groceries. The produce is amazing. They have a great selection of organic and fair trade items as well. Don't let the unfamiliar brand names scare you off. These brands are just as good as the brands you may be more familiar with. I love the fact that I can fill my cart for about half of what it would cost at Hy-Vee or even Walmart. The best thing about Aldi though, (in my opinion), is the non-food aisles. You never know what kind of fun, random thing you'll find. From coloring books, to camping chairs, wireless phone chargers, to bamboo cutting boards, everything you didn't know you needed, all at incredible prices! If you haven't been to Aldi, what are you waiting for! Go and see for yourselves!"

"I want to love this location for its convenvience, but it continues going downhill. I’ve shopped here often since this location opened, favoring it over others because it is within a stone’s throw of Walmart, Sam’s Club, AND Hy-Vee…a perfect addition, and easy to bargain shop all in one row. That’s where the good stops. This location is the most poorly stocked I’ve seen. Bare shelves are a common occurrence. Inaccurate prices and price tags that don’t match any of the items in the immediate area are a constant. Horribly rude staff that refuse to staff regular checkouts ends up either people getting stuck at self checkouts that don’t accept anything but card payments. If you have a self checkout issue or need an ID check for alcohol purchases, good luck. Chances are, you’ll get chewed out by the employee (yes, singular, ONE) working for being a disruption/inconvenience to whatever they were doing before you needed help. Aldi needs to flip the staff at this location and replace them with folks who actually enjoy the work. It’s clear that the staff here have zero interest in being helpful or even tolerant of customers, and would rather huff and puff and get grumbly every time a customer needs something. If you want to shop at a better Aldi, hit the Mills Civic Pkwy location in West DSM, the E14th St location near grandview university, or the one on SE14th St near Menards. They have excellent staff who take pride in their work and enjoy serving their customers with a smile!"

"This location has been around for a few months and gets a lot of business which I'm happy to see - give some more competition to HyVee and Walmart. Friendly staff and they were will stocked the past couple times I've been there. Give it a try, and don't forget your bags and quarter!"

"Their produce is the best around. Aldi has grown what they carry in their stores. I did not care for the self-checkout but they must have been short-staffed. There was only one very busy young man holding down the front end."

"The cashier was busy doing other things while everyone was self checking out. I'm not a fan of self check out. I am disabled and trying to do one thing at a time is hard. There was a couple of elderly people there ready to also leave till they came back to register. I understand for most, bags don't cost much but for some, limited income makes it hard to pay for them. They get rid of boxes to make people purchase bags. I do like some of the prices. Other prices are kind of high. They do have some really good cheese. I buy a lot of premade hamburger patties, frozen veggies, shrimp, bread, and occasionally pizza.Can't say much about employees cause they are to busy cleaning out boxes."
