Reviews of Monterra Apartment Homes
"Jocelyn assisted us with our tour of a 2 bedroom 2bath. She was not only professional but so down to earth. She thoroughly went over all amenities and answered all my questions. Even though we had a problem with our golf cart she made light of the situation. Can’t wait to start the application process later this week!"
"Moving into my new apartment was a breeze, thanks to the exceptional assistance provided by Jocelyn. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Jocelyn's expertise and willingness to go above and beyond truly impressed me. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking to transition into a new living space."
"I love living here in this complex. I live alone and feel safe. The office staff is nice and they really keep the apartments clean. I have been here for almost 2 yrs and I don't plan on moving any time soon. I don't drive so the apartments is right next to a grocery store. Perfect for me"
"Update3 Hints of Cat smell is still lingering in certain spots. They have been working on my issues. I still have a few things they are working on. I did ask for blind replacements but they will charge so I will buy my own. They did come over today and then sent an email about “my roommate” I just moved in lol I don’t have a roommate or anyone staying with me long term. (My lease says guest can stay no longer than 14 consecutive days. I’ve had keys 16. The guy that she was referring to has been in and out of town. Hell, I haven’t even stayed here 14 consecutive days yet) Update #2 they did change the air filter, fixed leaking toilets and gave me a used refrigerator. They said I can get a new fridge in January so I do hope that happens. Upon removing the old nasty fridge it was mini Hennessy bottles falling from behind. So I know for a fact they didn’t clean a thing before they moved me in. The air filter did remove a lot of the cat smell as well. I also got an ozone generator. I put it in one room so far. The smell is tremendously better in my apartment. (Unless I’m just finally use to the smell) **Update they are finally taking initiative and working towards a solution. They did have someone come in and clean the carpets and they did state they will give me new appliances on Monday. They also stated they will have someone clean the vents as well so that is a very good start and I’m not as stressed. It does smell significantly better in here since they cleaned the carpet but there is still a smell of cat urine/feces lingering around. Moved to Las Vegas all the way from Georgia. Now I have a friend that stays in the apartments so I have seen the units. I applied to Monterra and was initially accepted and given my current unit. A few days later they said the unit was completely gutted and they would have another unit available for a higher price. I declined and wanted to stay in my budget. I did let them know that I was relocation to Vegas on 10/13. They said they would have another unit ready for me by my move in date. It turns out to be the same unit number that was “completely gutted and wouldn’t be ready”. As it is Getting closer to my move in date I’m calling to ask what the unit number will be so I can start the process of changing my address. They then tell me that I’ve been denied and later that it was a miscommunication and that the unit will be ready. Fast forward to a couple days before 10/13 and they now say the place will be ready by the 15th. No problem I have family here and I can wait it out at their house. 10/15 move in date. They give us the keys and the unit looked like it was only vacuumed. It smells of cat urine, cat feces, maybe even a hint of dead cat. The fridge smells like spoiled caucus, the vents were dusty and filled with dust and dander, the dishwasher was disgusting with all types of gunk and smells. The washer and dryer were dirty as well as a dust build up in the back. The oven wasn’t that bad. The blinds, walls, baseboards, floorboards, ceiling and every other surface was sticky and stenchy. There was also leftover piss residue on the toilet when I was installing my bidet. I put in maintenance request to remove or replace the current appliances and to clean vents and replace/clean carpets. I scrubbed and cleaned the walls, ceilings and all the surfaces, got 3 air purifiers, loaded up on plugin air freshener, baking soda and vinegar cleaning, etc but the smell is still unbearable but not as bad as it first was but still bad. I’m getting an ozone generator from Amazon so hopefully that can knock down the smell at least 2%. After a few days of playing phone tag with the office they finally came buy and admitted that there was a smell in the apartment, fridge and they took pictures of the dishwasher. But before that she told me “you must not be use to the smell yet” not sure how long it should take to get use to the smell of old feline fluids. Now just waiting to see the response or waiting to see if they will remove or replace the appliances so I can at least make room to purchase my own."
