"DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Tides on Commerce is the worst place ever! They offer a promotion of 2 months free rent. Lies! On the second month that was supposed to be free (March), instead of it actually being free, I was served a 7 Day Pay or Quit Notice for not paying for this month. When I went the leasing office, they had the audacity to BLAME ME FOR NOT REMINDING THEM that this month was supposed to be free. How is that? YOU TOLD ME this month was free! I had to show them the proof in the email they sent me, and they eventually removed the rent. However after speaking with the Clerk of the Court, I was informed that they have not removed the eviction attempt and that I should file an Affidavit of Response in order to prevent them from gaining a default judgment for eviction. Filing fee was $71 and they refuse to reimburse me for it. Now I have to contact my lawyer and go through the court process in order to obtain something they offered me and avoid eviction! I WANT OUT OF THIS LEASE!!! DO. NOT. MOVE. HERE!!!"
"The worst living experience I’ve ever experienced you pay stuff they dont have cameras and rent insurance even tho you have your own policy, electricity even with your own account and amenities like the gym game room and pool. The pool was closed the whole summer the game room was never accessible these people are the biggest scammers ever. They moved me in and I doubled checked that I was paying my total move in and 2 days later i had a whole deposit amount and they told me they forgot to mention to me. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here its a trap. There so many other companies that own apartments that are much better."
"I have lived here for almost 6 months and I have no complaints. My apartment is nice, cozy, and quaint. I came from living in a nice House inside of a cul-de-sac in a fairly decent neighborhood, and I still had minor issues. So I leave this review as a message to everyone, and hopefully, it helps someone. The Office and Maintenance staff are always pleasant, and they complete my work orders promptly. I had AT&T for phone service when I first moved in and we struggled with having service. Initially, I thought it was the complex, but I realized it wasn't just the apartment, it's the area (mainly all down Commerce St). So that was an easy fix for me, I just switched to another phone carrier and I have top-notch service in my apartment. I was reluctant to get Cox Wi-Fi because I was with another carrier and didn't want to switch but my internet carrier didn't service that area. So, I signed up for Cox and I haven't had an issue. I can watch TV with no service interruptions, and my children use it on all their game electronics with no issues. Now I do have an issue with the ROWDY and RUDE neighbors in the complex who think it's okay to sit outside in their trucks at 2 AM talking on their cell phones in the parking lot, or blasting their music in the car while still sitting outside talking to their friends. Have some consideration for everyone in the complex and go in the house, that's what you pay Rent for to enjoy the comfort of your home. If you don't want to disturb your family who is obviously sleeping, why disturb everyone else? If you want to hang out, there are so many open bars in the area you can go to. But this has nothing to do with the staff, I wouldn't expect them to put themselves in harm's way for an inconsiderate person. So I sleep with earbuds now. LOL. I clean the area around my front door and walkway every chance I get or when I see lots of trash. I've even cleaned the parking lot around me, and I don't have an issue doing it. It's my home and I want to keep it clean so I'll do it myself, and keep it moving. Some of the children have even helped me with no problem. I know there's only One (1) porter for that huge complex, and let's face it people are NASTY, so he can only clean so much at a time. I receive my mail from the mailboxes just fine. When I first moved in I had done a change of address with the Post Office and I wasn't receiving my mail. I waited a month because I knew it could take time to have the address changed and begin to receive mail. I went to the Post Office, and there was a lady in front of me who was having the same issue and she lived in a different neighborhood- I mean she was hotter than Fish Grease because her Power had been disconnected and she hadn't received the Bill from NV ENERGY. I told them I hadn't been receiving mail and verified they had received the change of address for everyone living in the house. Post Office worker "Oh those mailboxes at that complex were damaged so we don't know if they replaced them", I told the post office worker Sir, those mailboxes at that complex have been DAMAGED and we don't know if they have replaced them yet. My response was Sir, they have replaced those boxes and I know other people are receiving mail so I need my mail, It's obvious someone isn't properly doing their job. I kid you not the next day, my mailbox was FULL of all my mail that hadn't been delivered. It wasn't the complex fault, it was the postal service not efficiently doing their job. The moral of my long review is, that it's not always the apartment staff's fault of the situations a person endures. We have to look at the bigger picture. Not everything is going to be Roses and Cupcakes, especially in an apartment complex. Have a great day everyone."
"This by far has been the worst place I have ever lived! Funny thing is I have been here for about 6 years now. The last 3 years (management) have been the absolute worst. This company has locked my portal to pay rent for about 6-7 months now, they wont even allow me to pay with my auto debit card. Then they say the only option I have is to mail my money order, after I do that they lose it for about 30 days in their headquarters!! Of course you know they were still ready to evict me so I placed a stop payment to get new money orders, after I get them I take them down there all for Patrice to tell me they found them, WHAT APARTMENT PROPERTY DOESNT call the tenant to tell them they found almost 2 THOUSAND dollars, then have the nerve to ask me why I placed a stop payment like they werent trying to evict me through all this. And after all this they tell me to MAIL it to the same place. The management here I honestly dont know how they are still even here, again 6 years here & whether I ever end up paying late fees these ppl ALWAYS get their MONEY!!!! Overall its just shady & please take it from someone who has been here 6 years, dont do it!!!!!"
"Moved here when it was under original management as St Andrews, not much has changed as they’re now apart of the Tides management. The biggest down side of the property is there is NEVER SERVICE. I have AT&T for years now & it works everywhere in Vegas but on this property without WiFi. Would rate a zero if I could. Also the mailbox has been broken and NOT fixed for 3 months and counting, and they don’t care. Management removed the playground from the properly and fenced it off. When the property is home to many children from the nearby elementary school. Trash is left untidy yet as a resident I was paying approx $120-160 for TRASH, sewage & water. I would put in multiple work orders to have basic things fixed, missing blind panel from balcony screen, helping fix patio door handle, fixing smoke detectors that aren’t battery operated yet beeped like they needed changing. When I would visit the management office none of the women were welcoming or helpful, they never knew an answer for my questions or they gave careless quick responses. Pictures included are from the first week we moved in, the unit had a garage attached and a lot of the kitchen paint was done poorly and consistently scraped off with a touch of your fingernail."
