Reviews of Department of Neurosurgery
"Yea I don’t recommend this place. I’ve been seeing a neurosurgeon there for 3 years now and every year we have to do an MRI for a spot on my thoracic spine to make sure it’s not getting bigger. I called to ask a question and that’s how I found out my doctor no longer even works there. That’s nice of them to let their patients know that. I wasn’t even moved to a different doctor. I was basically told to see if there’s someone in my area I can see. How would I have ever known if I didn’t call to check up on something? Who was going to schedule my MRI this year to check the spot on my spine? Even would I would send emails through mychart, I never got any responses. Not even from his nurse practitioner who is still there by the way. Just so unprofessional."
"Other than a delay and having to reschedule I'm very pleased with Dr. Saul Wilson. He has performed 2 surgeries on me and he was top notch."
"Beware of Dr. Patrick Hitchon. On February 28, 2019 I had an appointment with Dr. Patrick Hitchon. If you even could consider it an appointment. He did not even examine me, he only checked out my MRI. Then told me to "don’t go see any more doctors" and "get used to it" referring to my pain and headaches. I asked him about seeing a chronic pain doctor, his response was again "don’t go see any more doctors". I then asked should I go see my primary care physician with the same response of "don’t go see any more doctors". After he got tired of telling me to "get used to it" he got up as I was talking and left. I put in a complaint to David Dellos, administrator of the department of Neurosurgery about how Dr. Hitchon told me to "don’t go see any more doctors", "get used to it" and walking out in the middle of an appointment. In which he responded to none of my concerns. I then put in another complaint which he didn’t address my concerns. Except for the "don’t go see any more doctors" which he lied in the letter stating that Dr. Hitchon meant I should go to my personal care physician. That was a lie because I asked him during my appointment and he told me no, "don’t go see any more doctors"."
