"Seems like every time I go there to get my blood drawn they are closed they shouldn't be in business if the dr orders blood you should have to draw it if you can't shut the place down"
"I have had excellent care, and everyone is very nice. It is a lovely facility, but the people there are all wonderfully helpful, kind, & empathetic."
"Do not go to Kim Kaiser. i have hypothyroidism and just moved into town. i ran out of my medication that i need to take daily so i made an appointment exclusively for that. I walked into my appointment as was greeted by the NICEST nurse. I wish I remembered her name. She was kind, and helpful, i was so excited to get a new doctor in my new home of Cedar Rapids. As soon as Kim walked into the room she demanded her space. She interrupted me as I was trying to answer her questions about my medical history. The only history that transferred was that I had a suicide attempt last year, when she demanded i knew the date of. I don’t know? I’ve grown and tried to forget that dark part of my life. She was extremely condescending. I told her that I had hypothyroidism and presumably hashimoto’s as my dad has it (according to my doctor) but i haven’t seen an endo since i was 12. “presumably?” she said in a rude tone. “what does that mean?” a “doctor said that?” i have anxiety and I mess my words up and she made me feel like i’m stupid. she then asked me if i wanted to get depression/anxiety medication for my diagnosis years ago. i have not been to therapy or taken psychiatric medication in over 8 months. i didn’t ask or show need. her whole demeanor was judge mental and concerning. She also noted that I was on testosterone (i am transgender) and asked me why i would be on that. I told her I was genderqueer and she went….. “oooooookay?” i felt super judged and unwelcome. the last straw for me was when i told her about my back pain. She asked me about that and I tried to explain that it’s a whole body issue and she said “wait a minute (and chuckled) we’re talking about back pain” and then proceeded to walk up to me and prod my back with her fingers which is extremely sore. she didn’t ask. she didn’t warn me. she just did it. i then broke down and started crying and asked her to get away from me. she said “oohhhh awwweee” said “i’m gonna walk away from you now” as if I was going to do something to her? I told her that she was being unprofessional and i felt extremely uncomfortable. she then tried to over explain that it’s her job to ask questions. she never apologized once or took accountability for her behavior. I then told her that it was her bedside manner and the way she was acting and she said “sometimes patients and doctors aren’t a match” like? no you’re just extremely rude! i told her i wanted to change providers, get my blood drawn for my medication, and leave. don’t go to kim kaiser."
"I called looking for a doctor on Monday because I had an emergency with the prescription I needed. I don’t have a primary care physician because I don’t need one. Anyway, they call me Thursday and I called him back on Friday. We set up an appointment for a month from today. I asked. Hey I really need this prescription I’m not feeling right. It’s not a class three drug or anything. It’s a simple SSRI. They tell me they cannot help me with that so of course I canceled my appointment and just another reason I don’t like doctors. I pay them right. So I act like it."
"Something is serious wrong with the scheduling at this location. For some reason, we were refused to see Dr. Tan, when we were told weeks in advance that we had an appointment with her. Come to show up for the appointment, some lady tells us that she went ahead and canceled our appointment! She then refers us to their worst reviewed doctor as collateral. Very unprofessional."
