University of Iowa Health Care Williamsburg - Highland Street

"I am in the process of moving to the area, and have been trying to get my care established with the Mercy Clinic in Williamsburg. A little over a month ago, I went into their office to sign a release of records, as I already have this doctor set up as my primary care. I have a lot of chronic health issues that I need consistent care for, as well as several medications I am going to need refills on but the clinic is refusing to see me until they get my prior medical records. So I called a couple of weeks ago and a younger lady checked and said they still had not received my records. So I call again this afternoon, now an older lady, which is the one I think I gave the release to, says she can't find it and I am going to have to start this whole process over. My life depends on consistent care, and my medicines, and I need get set up with several specialists. I extremely upset that they "lost" my release form with all of my personal information on it as well. I was told Mercy is better than U of I, but at least I would have been seen by now at the U of I so I'm considering switching my care."
