"I’ve been to this hospital a few times and had nothing but a horrible experience. My most recent hospitalization was regarding extreme 10/10 abdominal pain. I was in the worst pain of my life and ended up finding out I was internally bleeding and needed emergency surgery. The ER doctor Brooke A Stephens was so inconsiderate and actually a danger to the hospital. For one she left me in the room for hours begging for pain medicine and refused to give me anything stronger than Toradol. She kept acting like I was just trying to get paid meds when I was visibly crying and screaming in pain. After hours of being unable to even move my body or lay down she finally came to the room and made me feel horrible for asking for pain medicine but ordered it because I was so persistent. She stated all my lab work was normal when my WBC was 22, little did she know I have MyChart and seen my results coming in. She also verbally told me “the worst pain is over now and you’ll be sore for a week. This is nothing you will need surgery for” even after the CT scan was done. Thankfully a new ER doctor came on and contacted a specialist, I ended up going to surgery that night and had over 500mL of blood in all 4 quadrants of my abdomen. If Brooke A Stephens discharged me home as she was planning to I would have died from internal bleeding. By far the worst experience I’ve ever had. This doctor really needs further education on patient safety and quite frankly medication management in emergency situations."

"Second time visiting this emergency room and have great experiences both times. The triage staff, nurses, x-ray techs, and doctors have been very nice both times. Both visits had us checking in, visiting with nurses/doctors/x-ray within an hour of checking in. Shockingly we were home within 2 hours for each visit as well so no complaining on my end. The facility is very clean and appears to be well maintained."

"CHI Midland in Papillion gets a 5 star rating ALL DAY & EVERYDAY!! I was SOOOO impressed with every medical and non medical personnel I had the pleasure of meeting. My elderly father fell Saturday and was rushed to the ER. Holly Hamilton and Carmen Rodriguez in the ER, had to jump through a lot of hoops to decipher the information that I had available to give to them. I don’t know how they did what they did, but they were able to successfully determine his insurance provider as well as the medication he was prescribed. Nurses Marsha, Vickie, Trudy, Sarah, Kristen and Lexi just to name a few. Thank you ALL for your service, patience, skills, knowledge, professionalism, empathy and KINDNESS!! Without you…. my fathers outcome would have had a different ending. However, I’m happy to say that he was discharged today. I’m forever grateful!!"

"When I went to the CHI Midlands ER I was attended to quickly. The nurses and attending doctor were excellent. They immediately explained important details of my situation. Took time to listen to me. That made me feel very secure. They were kind and patient. Ordered thorough testing. I left feeling I had been in very good hands!!! Thank You Midlands ER staff!!!!"
