Reviews of CHI Health Clinic Psychiatric Associates (Lasting Hope)
"Horrible. My husband and decided I was ready to go off my meds last fall because the meds Dr. Danczek had me on put me to sleep for 22 hrs a day and I felt he was pressuring me to take them. I ended up getting a job at Ulta Beauty and was bullied there until I had a nervous breakdown, so I went to see my Dr. Christine Jefferies, at Think Whole Person Health who I’ve pretty much seen since the death of my daughter in 2005. Together we got me back on the best med cocktail, that worked for me in the past. She recommended I see the psychiatrist. So I made a appt with Dr. Danczek, who recommended to me when I got out of the psychward. When I went in to see Dr. Danczek today he was very upset and aggravated that I didn’t “comply” with his instructions when he saw Dr. Jefferies had written my prescriptions and didn’t match what his “books” tell him. I told him Dr. Jefferies gave me what’s worked for me in the past and it seems to be working now. Verrrrrryyyy angrily in loud tone, he said, “Do you want her to be your provider or am I?” I only went to see him cause she told me too. Anywho, Dr. Danczek doesn’t listen to his patients and only has his own self interest at heart. If it looks like a duck…."
"It's frustrating when you get shamed for the meds a previous Dr put you on. Real hard to get the meds they want you to take when they don't send the prescription to the pharmacy. It's been a week!"
"If I could give -5 stars I would. PLEASE go someplace other than here. I was lied to from day 1. I was told I was being seen by a DOCTOR, found out she was only a prescribing nurse (Not putting down her education, just saying she needs a WHOLE LOT MORE before attempting to treat folks). The person who "saw" me did very little more than that; look & made me feel like absolute GARBAGE. I came in feeling depressed. I quit seeing her feeling a whole lot like I wanted to die. I felt threatened, and incredibly stressed out during the entire time I saw the "Doctor"-who-wasn't at this clinic. PLEASE, for the sake of your mental health, find another place for help, there is McDermott in Council Bluffs, and Inroads to Recovery here in Omaha as well as many others."
"At first I had a doctor who understood that I had been on the same meds for years and did not consider changing them he leaves . My new doctor has a doctor above her and they decide what they thought was best for me. They come in to the office saying that we have decided to ween you off you klonopin. I was almost done with cigarettes until I trythere plan I was down to 5 a day now I am back up to 30 cigarettes a day and when they said we have decided to which was done away from me so we went down to they and did not even consider how I felt also I don't feel comparable with a doctor who is too inconfadent to make her own decision-making and has to ask an overlords what to do. Before my last doctor left we him and I decided what was best. Now chi wants to play as if I were a genie pig so Monday or Tuesday morning I will be looking for a new doctor because I do have a right to a second, third or as many different options as I want btw her overlord assumption of me being a drug addict because he wrote a book about addiction big deal I could study about war for 30 years writing a book after that dose not make so I know anything about war because I never been to war just like he has never been a drug addict. Btw the dead has put meds like klonopin at class 4 that means low chance of abuse and low chance of addiction. If I were a drug addiction why would I take klonopin I would do heroin and cocaine. Don't go here they do not consider you at all. Well yesterday November 6th I fired the doctor yes you can do that you can fire your doctor I found a doctor that I can come clean with who did not judge me when was actually able to sit around and laugh together made me feel better about myself instead of call me a drug addict making me feel like I have this buy medication off the street to feel right I would tell you this doctor's name name but would be breaking some sort of rule some sort rule but if you have psychological problems and you know you really need medicine that they refuse to give you or want to wean you off of you don't have to be pushed around I've never been pushed around in my life people start pushing me ice push back twice as hard in fact my lap my appointment was with her the day that I fired her LOL good luck to all deal with mental illness. I also forgot to say I caught the female doctor lieing because she acted like she was reading something that the last md left she said that he and I talk about going off my anxiety med I went and asked her to show me she tried to get off the page but I pulled the key board toward me and she all the sudden could not find it. She said she just read it. Infact the last doctor wanted to keep me on all meds because it took 8 month to find something that worked for me. Do not go to chi if possible go to a psychiatrist who has no affiliation with chi, UMNC or any other corporate hospital go to a private clinic because the doctors are not told what the head md considers standard because you can't really use standard with mental illness because everyone is different my new doctor is great he makes me feel like I am a person he knows all about my problem with pain meds but instead of judging me he offered a med that makes you immune to pain meds and also realizes that I need a couple controlled meds and he monitors them to make sure that I have not been mis using"
