"Don’t recommend coming here for anything except for birth control. The dr here NEVER listens to any of my concerns. Ever since Dr.Braun left this location I haven’t felt heard about my mental health since. She cut me off my depression medication after I told her I didn’t think it was working instead of recommending me something else to try instead… didn’t bother asking me if I still wanted the prescription. Best she can do is recommend I talk to a counselor for a few minutes like that’s going to do something after years and years of anxiety, depression, and ptsd? But love the girls who give me my shot everytime and run the front desk, never had an issue with them."
"My daughter was seen at this clinic (24th street) today due to not feeling well and having a possible bacterial infection. They did get her in for appointment same day we called which I was grateful. My daughter left school and went to doctors appointment and was seen by both Mindee Swanson APRN, and Dr. Gordon. They told my daughter she could have the flu or a viral infection but did not test her for the flu. They told my daughter that the flu test they had at this clinic were expired and they did not have any there to give. After looking at her throat and her nose they sent her on her way with just a doctors note excusing her for two days. Even though my daughter has this sinus congestion for over 3 weeks and head pressure. A viral infection usually gets better within 5 to 7 days so I have a hard time believing it’s viral considering the duration she has had all this going on but that did not seem to matter. They told her that if she doesn’t get better by Friday to come back. Make this make sense, what is the difference of two or three days going to do if you have this going on for over 3 weeks. I received a call from Mindee to explain what happened when My daughter was seen and Mindee passed me onto Dr. Gordon. Dr. Gordon was very repetitive and listened to my concerns with the intent to reply not with the intent to understand. She told me that she did not want to give out an antibiotic so quickly as people get immune to them. I explained to her this was not the case with my daughter. For the population that OneWorld serves being low income making patients come back twice in one week is not convenient nor is it affordable for those that have to find transportation to and from. Not to mention if children are missing out on school, do better! Spend more time with your patients. I was really disappointed and now have to take a day off of work to go see another doctor who will actually spend time with us to listen and help. My daughter is not well enough to go back to school for two days but yet all she left with was a doctor’s note and her time wasted, poor thing is miserable. Update 4/26/2022- My daughter was seen today by a different doctor at UNMC for a second opinion and was told she has a bacterial sinus infection and was put on antibiotics. Make sure you speak up for yourself and advocate when you know you are not feeling well."
"All the women who work here are absolute angels and I have never felt judged or embarrassed! They also provide numerous services that are especially benefit low income women or teenagers who have limited options! Even though services are free or affordable, the service and quality is amazing. I’m so grateful for what this place has done for me throughout my teenage years and I don’t see why anyone would not want to support it."
"I been calling and calling to make an appointment or atleast talk to an assistant I have questions but no answer!!! It's frustrating cause what if you make a schedule can't no one answers and if you at work want to make an appointment asap no answer. They should atleast have a call back caller id or something to call the person back instead being on the phone and wait until someone answer the call"
"They scarcely answer their phones when I'm in need. I've been trying to access my perscription for days and it's just a hard time frame and system to work with."
