"I have never had a doctor criticize me, dismiss me, and embarrass me like I was with Dr. Rafiq today. I came because I thought I was sick, and I was told that it was just anxiety, that my symptoms were "easy to think it's real when it's just anxiety". When I asked about the idea of running tests I was laughed at and told she would run them if it would make me feel better. She criticized my medical choices that had nothing to do with what I came in about. When I started crying in the office, she looked stunned and asked if I was okay, as if I hadn't just been belittled and dismissed. Ultimately, I left with zero answers or solutions and totally embarrassed for being brought to tears in such a public place. Gave two stars because everyone else nice enough."
"Only reason why I’m giving it two stars and not one is because of the great women’s care team. I never have a problem on the second floor. The first floor however, the doctors are not great, very dismissive, the receptionists have holier than thou attitudes, and every time I go into priority care with my kid, they dismiss her and tell me to give her Tylenol and Motrin when what she actually needs is antibiotics for an ear infection. And their pharmacy system has been down for weeks, so if you have a high priced medication usually covered by insurance, good luck getting it now."
"The billing department blames the the secretaries who record keep your insurance but the secretaries blame the billing department so basically no one is held accountable for any of their foolishness but you have to bite the bill and bullets all the same... I'm done just go to Nebraska medicine this place is a joke"
"I want to start off by saying that the nurses at the walk-in clinic were phenomenal. However; I cannot say the same about the doctor we saw. She had no bed side manner. After swabbing my two year old for flu and RSV, my daughter kept sneezing thus making it hard for the doctor to look in her ears. She literally told my daughter, mind you she is two years old, “Come on, I am trying to get through my shift!” I understand my daughter was the last patient of the day, but that should never affect the quality of service. My entire interaction with the doctor gave off a vibe of annoyance. Secondly, I was asked which pharmacy I wanted my prescription sent to. I gave them the pharmacy I wanted, handed a stack of papers, and told she would cough. Then I was sent on my way. I went to said pharmacy and was told it was sent to a different pharmacy. The pharmacy I wanted said they would transfer it. I went the next morning to get it and I was told it didn’t exist. I called the clinic three times only to be told the last time I called that a note was left saying the prescription was in the paperwork I was given and that the mother was specifically told that. That was not true. I have now spent the entire day on the phone with the pharmacy and the clinic trying to get my daughter her antibiotic. I am unimpressed with the doctor that treated my daughter and I will not choose to return in the future."
"The office and nursing staff are wonderful. I can't say enough good things about the nurses here. I am a complex visit for the doctors, I understand that with the tremendous amounts of issues I have. But I have seen three doctors at the clinic over the last few years. They are great at telling me what's wrong, but not at helping finding the root cause, or guiding me to the right resources. There have been times that specialists have raised alarms by things they see in my chart, that the doctors at this clinic never even told me about. I will admit, I have quite a bit of questions, I think there is nothing wrong with that. Self advocating is necessary when you feel more is needed. But I have been made to feel like I am a nuisance instead of being cared for. I never had this issue in decades with Nebraska Medicine. But with my insurance, CHI is my only choice. If you have basic needs it's fine, but complex issue patients like me need more help, not distain. I was told I am only allowed to speak about one health issue per visit. Maybe if after years of complex issues, if we did a deep dive and try to find what's going on, I wouldn't have so many questions and needs. Sometimes things are unlikely and rare, but that doesn't mean they need to be automatically dismissed."
