"The hospital was great when I had Dr. Alaskaf while I was at Immanuel Psychiatric Unit until recently, when I had Dr. Mark Diercks, he made me feel unsafe on the unit because I’ll be stuck with him and stuck on Special Care Unit which, I’ll never go to that hospital ever again whether if it was hospitalization or just appointments at Immanuel, I feel very unsafe to go inside Immanuel forever. This place does not make me feel secure from Immanuel Inpatient Psychiatric Unit anymore because of what Dr. Mark Diercks said and did to me. Dr. Alsakaf was more nicer to me and made me feel more secure than what Dr. Mark Diercks did because Dr. Alsakaf would’ve let me be on Adult 4 East instead of Special Care Unit. One day, while Dr. Alsakaf was on call, he told me that I deserve to be on Adult 4 East Unit."
"I have very mixed feelings about my experience at this hospital. I was taken to the Emergency room due to sudden pain on my back and a physician spent all of 5 seconds feeling my back. I then waited for 3 hours for an X-ray during which time I was mostly left alone unable to move and in great pain. They took almost those 3 hours before they gave me anything for the pain. Throughout my visit they kept trying to make me get out of bed for this or that reason, despite me constantly saying that even just moving a little bit caused a flare of more pain. During the X-ray they wanted me to move myself from the bed to the X-ray bed, thankfully all of my nurses where lovely and helpful. After my X-ray the lead physician wanted to see if I could take a few steps, I tried and was able to get off the bed very slowly and with a lot of pain, once on my feet I was at my limit with pain and passed out, my husband and nurse caught me and my tiny nurse was able to super strength me back on the bed on her own. A few hours later, still with no answers I was told I was up for discharge… still in pain, no answers, still not able to move. I was prescribed some opioids and told to just rest but also keep moving around… wth. Over all the nurses were great, the hospital policies must be whack to just send people home like that. I wouldn’t go back and I would recommend going to a different hospital."
"I am not a fan of hospitals period, but I can honestly say that this location is the best location to go to. I have never been in and out of the emergency room as quick as I was here. Unfortunately, I had to be admitted a day later. Even now, I can still say that I enjoyed my stay here. The nurses are very hospitable and very caring. I really appreciate them making my stay and health ordeal less painful and less miserable. They have restored my faith in humanity, character, morals and values. Thank you sincerely, CHI IMMANUEL! Thank you for making me well again and giving me back my life!"
"These people are an absolute joke. It's no wonder why I had such a poor experience at this place. The Psychiatrist I spoke with, seemed professional. I will give him that, however, I had to correct him about something which was quite important, when he attempted to question me about what I'd just told him not even a minute prior. Instead of prescribing medications that I'd taken for years, he seemed to be more interested in using me as a guinea pig to experiment on. This is not the clinic that I've gone to for many years. The reason being, these people took over the smaller clinic that I used to visit. During the years I attended that smaller clinic, I went through what could only be described as hell, while my Psychiatrist and I ,tried different combinations of medication, until we finally found a formula that helped. However, despite having all of these records provided to them, they are the bigger company which consumed the smaller clinic, they seem hell bent on putting me through hell all over again - while they make me go through the entire process again 12 years later. The many excuses I were given as to why they wanted to go this route, made no sense whatsoever. There has to be some sort of incentive given to this company, by the pharmaceutical company who produces the drugs they're attempting to prescribe. That is the the only way to make sense of why they refused to prescribe medication that I've taken for years. At the end of the visit, I was bluntly told by David Wilton's supervisor, to go to another clinic, because they don't prescribe those medications there. I find it very hard to believe that Ambien isn't prescribed there. I believe I just didn't fit their personal criteria of someone they would help. I however did fit the criteria for a guinea pig. Not to mention, the medication that they did prescribe, will lower my blood pressure to an unsafe level, due to the fact that I am already on hypertension medication. How helpful could this be?"
"The attention and care I received from the ER staff was positive, professional, compassionate, and cheerful. You are to be commended for a high quality staff at the ER. Nurse Mark was amazing, he was very caring and sweet. He knew what he was doing and was so helpful. He always give me an update on what’s going on and what should I expect. If I am ever in need while I am visiting, I would come here again."
