"I tried to become involved in NAMI planning in Watertown Sd with planning things such as events and things only to be turned away? I felt all my years in NAMI in minnesota and almost starting a wellness and recovery group myself that i could be an asset to the group with my experiences, And I payed my dues which got transfered here, but was denied? Im confused? There has also been a lot of misscommunication with NAMI here in Watertown. Need understanding? Why would anyone, esp people with the mental illness, be turned away? Im kind of shocked. Please respond. Wanting feed back on this. Im not asking at this time to be a facilitator of a support group, just want to continue from mn. I have been involved in NAMI in many places in MN and did numerous talks. Why would i be turned away? That to me is an insult."
