"I visit when ever I am able to drive the 900 miles to Iowa. All the staff I have met have been very caring. My brother is unable to speak more than a word or two and on occasion a short phrase, but often when a regular staff member walks into the room I have watched him follow that person with his eyes, smile and say"There (s)he is". PrIor to living here I have known him to be wary and guarded when someone with whom he is uncomfortable approaches him. These are the things that give a person comfort when the ability to visit is so limited."
