Staff and health care providers have all been personable, knowledgeable, compassionate and efficient. Very reassuring that we can receive quality care now that we are located in a more rural area."

"Dr Dierks was a saint. However the nurses need to work on not getting so upset when someone has a panic attack. My fiances IV hurt really bad which triggered panic. The nurses dismissed her panicked state and tears and told her it needed to be in there to give me fluids. Well she got that. Neither of them could comprehend she wasn't asking for a removal. Adjustment or switching arms would have been fine. The were rude and very dismissive."

"I cannot begin to even recommend nor tell you to receive any form of treatment at this facility. I went in after a month of extreme groin pain and was dismissed as not an "emergency" and felt deemed unworthy of medical attention. I had X Rays taken of my back, which is not a sign of a stress fracture that I was suffering with. I was handed off to a med. student and was even referred to as not an "emergency" and chastised more so for not having a local doctor, which is my medical choice. The general attitude was , what do you want me to do? I felt treated rudely and sub par with more emphasis on not having a local doctor. I had to return two weeks later after what was a stress fracture caused my hip give out and completely fracture resulting in trauma surgery at the U of I. I fell at my home and had to be transferred by ambulance after there was no possibility of moving me in my vehicle five blocks to the Anamosa ER. After a second round of extremely painful x-rays I was transferred to the U of I but was never fully explained as to what was happening. No communication, extreme pain that could have been avoided had my case been listened to at my prior visit could have saved a significant amount of time, pain, money, insurance and trauma on my account and my daughters. DO NOT go to this establishment unless you have no other choice or go to another Unity Point for help. One star is generous and this ER is anything but a place for any medical treatment under this doctor. One positive, and I am thankful for the ambulance team. Thankfully, they showed up and did their job. Your kindness, professionalism and assessing the situation was top notch. You deserve all the stars. You helped with my daughter as well and I can't begin to thank you for responding to my pain levels. Your professionalism and understanding kept me and most importantly my daughter calm. Big hearts and so much help. Do not seek treatment unless you have no choice as in my case. I was mistaken in thinking you went to a medical facility for help for anything medical related."
