"Such a hidden gem in Vegas that no one talks enough about! This mountain allows us to have white winters and skiing / snowboarding options during the winter! It offers changing colors of leave during the fall! Magical. So blessed to have this mountain here in NV!"
"I love going to the mountains in the summer! It is cooler than Vegas and has so many trails for hiking. Check out the BLM land while you are there for free camping."
"We were very lucky today and got to witness snow fall for about an hour or so. Nothing too crazy but just enough to make the drive up there more worth wild. Beautiful day. The creek was nice and full of spring mountain water. The trail itself is cemented and continues upward till you reach private property. Creek runs all the way up. Benches and tables all around for a quick snack. Quiet and peaceful. One of my favorites to visit this time around."
"Like its neighbor toward the west, California, Nevada is one of a handful of the spots where you can downhill ski in the first part of the day and sit by the pool in the early evening. Maybe the simplest spot to check this out is in Las Vegas. In under 60 minutes, you can progress from the warm, dry desert floor to a colder time of year wonderland up on 11,916-foot-high Mount Charleston at the Lee Gully Ski Resort. Here, you'll track down a tomfoolery and out of control resort with 26 runs and three lifts. The retreat gets a shocking 11 feet of snow each year and is an extraordinary spot to take a stab at skiing in Nevada.Nonetheless, Mount Charleston isn't about snow. In the mid year, it's a great break from the intensity of the valley floor beneath. Up here, among the tall pine trees, you'll find charming climbing trails, cascades, and the brilliant McWilliams campsite. I took my family here Christmas morning subsequent to needing to give them an encounter rather than simply presents, and we had the best time. The area we visited was called Upper Lee Knolls and it was an unbelievable spot for sledding with children of all ages. Contingent upon how far you climb up the slants you can have a more serious sledding experience or an exceptionally gentle one. Assuming that you visit the region I prompt that you show up sooner than expected as conceivable on ends of the week as you will be dismissed in the event that it is reached to stop limit. We showed up around 8 am and when we left at 12:30 am, vehicles were being dismissed. There is a lush region quickly to one side of the mountain which had extremely delicate snow so my children made snowballs and had the option to toss snow around. In that equivalent region we found various snow men that had been made by past guests which gave us extraordinary photograph operations. Decent 45 minutes drive from Vegas. On New Year's Day there was snow. We made it up to the top and I saw they were confining travel around early afternoon so head out right on time to be in the snow. Gracious! What's more, one thing people… .I saw a few group read the signs about snow chains or winter tires required. Well individuals! Utilize your presence of mind! This was a radiant day, no downpour had occurred for more than a day… .Streets were cleared by the snowplow and there were a few group driving a launder street with their chains on! No requirement for them on 1/1/23 when I visited."
"I took my kids here Christmas morning after wanting to give them an experience instead of just gifts, and we had the best time. The location we visited was called Upper Lee Meadows and it was an incredible spot for sledding with kids of any age. Depending on how far you hike up the slopes you can have a more intense sledding experience or a very mild one. If you visit the area I advise that you arrive early as possible on weekends as you will be turned away if parking capacity is reached. We arrived about 7 am and by the time we left at 11:30 am, cars were being turned away. There is a wooded area immediately to the left of the mountain which had very soft snow so my kids made snow balls and were able to throw snow around. In that same area we found multiple snow men that had been made by previous visitors which gave us great photo ops."
