"I often visit this store and buy fabrics and notions. Patty is very rude when waiting on people. Most other staff are generally fairly nice. I have been treated terribly by her way too many times!"
"A friend and I visited this place to make fleece blankets. While we both picked out our fabric, the lady behind the cutting counter had a little attitude. I asked her if there was another roll of print for my friend since it wouldn’t reach 2 yards of fabric, she said in a rude tone she would have to walk around the whole store to look on the shelves. There was no one behind us waiting. I told her it was okay because we looked on the shelves too and there was none available. I thought to ask incase there would be more in the back and she could’ve apologized instead of exaggerating. We went to checkout and the old lady behind the counter gave my friend a dirty look because of the crop top she had on. I have never felt mistreated for my friend before for just buying some fabric. The store was also hot and made it difficult for us to shop as well. All in all, they had great selections but the store should offer a friendly atmosphere. Do not go to this store on a Friday from 2-3pm."
"I love Joann's! Great prices and products every time. The only problem I've ever had there is at the cashier. It's either a sullen millenial with bad hair, bad skin, and piercings that's unbelievably rude, or a super slow senior citizen that wants to tell you her whole life story. How she's overworked and underpaid, and that the store is always freezing cold. And no matter how long the checkout line is, you only get ONE cashier."
"I am severely disappointed in my experience with shopping here. This location (Sioux Falls Joanns) has become very dishonest and impolite. I have spent many years shopping at Joanns, and the last few time I have felt they have been fraudulent. The first time the reciept did not match up with the bolt, and when I questioned them the girl said we see that happen all the time. Then recently I went in to buy fabric I was intentionally shorted 4 inches in a yard of fabric. When cutting 1 yard of fabric it is very hard to cut wrong unless it was done intentionally. The next day I went to return it, and they never once apologized or tried to make it right. I can't express how disappointed I am with their employees."
