"What a lovely campground, freshly paved, and tip- keep going past the end of the pavement - there is pull thru spots! Big enough for a class A w/toad!"
"Weirdest lake ever. Never anyone in or on the lake. Why?? I stopped here to walk the dogs every time I drove by and never seen anyone enjoying the lake. Even got pulled out of the sand by the towns Judge. Good times"
"Walker Lake is an interesting lake. Too salty for trout fishing. Used for boating, swimming, etc. It is known for the Big Horn Sheep but we didn't see one in December despite jeeping pretty high up on the mountains. Sportsman Beach has an excellent campground. Awnings, picnic tables and a fire ring. Nice pit toilets. The view is outstanding!!"
"Here are some current photos of Walker Lake. We drove through here three years ago, and the lake did not look so good. No salt ring exposed, and beautifully blue. Please check out the pictures."
"So many sites that were empty - it was beautiful. Even though you are right next to a highway it doesn't feel like it - quiet and peaceful. I was really surprised there was really nobody there. Don't just take the first right you see into the campsites though - keep following the road there are more below all with tables, pits and shade. Lizards were very cool /interesting. Clean toilets - bring toilet paper though and watch for all the spider webs."
