Reviews of Magnolia Hotel Omaha
"Recently stayed here for March Madness & the hotel was beautiful. It was in close proximity to a lot of restaurants and walking distance from a dollar general. If you’re in town for the an event at the Chi Health Center, the hotel is a 20+ minute walk but could easily be uber or driven to. Very respectful and welcoming staff from my experience especially with our group being as large as it was. Aside from the wifi not working the best on my phone, I had no complaints."
"Beautifully done rooms (not your chain look), heavy room- darkening drapes, luggage benches at the foot of each bed, and well-appointed bathrooms. Bathroom sliding privacy door is a heavy one, though. Their lobby smells wonderful, and there's a restaurant available for lunch, dinner, and late night drinks or dessert. Beds are comfortable! Modern amenities in an olde world hotel. On street parking and back lot parking available."
"Check in was horrible, we showed up at 3:11pm and told our room was not ready and told to come back at 4pm to pick up our keys. Fine, came back at 4:00 pm, that we just needed to pick up our keys, the lobby was so packed and watched nobody getting checked in, to the point the front desk clerks leaving and going into elevators, people were waiting for 1/2 hour to an hour. What are they doing? Then sent us up to our room that was still getting cleaned and stood in the hallway for 15 minutes and watched the maid on the phone and trying to clean with one hand. For the price, not worth it. Half used lotion, and all essentials just thrown in the corner of bathroom. The only thing good was location and they put themselves as high end. I would never say high end."
"Stayed at this hotel for a night after enjoying a performance at the Orpheum theater. The room was clean but a little worn. Seemed like it was due for a refresh. The front desk staff was wonderful and check-in process was quick. They do valet park but no signs out front so it was a little confusing on where to park. The restaurant and bar was nice and the food was great! But it was closed after the performance (10:00pm) and it left us wanting to enjoy a drink with nowhere to go. They definitely are missing out on some business. For the price I was expecting a little higher end amenities and available bar."
"The hospitality has been top notch. The restaurant, Olive & Ira, is clearly going through some changes in menu and staffing, but despite that the people are kind and welcoming and as accommodating as they can be. Kenya was our server for brunch and drinks and made us feel so very welcome with her warmth and attentiveness. We hope to return soon, the next time we’re in Omaha. Thanks for everything. ☀️"
