Reviews
"I moved to this side of town a year ago, and saw the reviews for this pharmacy, but was foolish enough to think I may have a different experience. Every single time I’ve needed a prescription filled here in the last year, it has been an issue, but I’ve continued to give them chances. A couple of months ago, I got a call to tell me my prescription was in. I went the next day to pick it up, and they told me I needed to come back the next day because they lost it. Today I noticed I was nearly out of my prescription and went to inquire about why I hadn’t received it. They told me they had it weeks ago, and since I didn’t come get it, they sent it back. When I asked why I wasn’t notified that it was in, I was told that when I didn’t hear from them, it was MY responsibility to call THEM (in the two day window that the prescription was in, mind you). Apparently their failure to contact me to let me know it was in was my own fault. The lady working today also proceeded to tell me I was lying and had never used them to pick up my prescriptions in the past. In a full year, I have not had one single experience here that was even decent. She extremely rude and did not have a single care in the world for the fact that their continuous failure to do their job affects their customers health."
"My husband and I went in for a Covid and flu shot today. We had appointments and checked in accordingly. We were told to have a seat and they would mix our shots. An hour later we noticed the pharmacy tech that we checked in with leaving for the day. We decided to give up and left. Very poor customer service. Everyone should stick with going to their Dr’s office since apparently Hy-Vee can’t handle it."
"I know they are short handed, but it is always something. Plan to wait 1-2 hours for your prescription and that is if you wait for it. I don’t remember the last time I picked up a prescription in a reasonable amount of time."
"Back story… my son was in hospital for last 2 weeks. I had already picked up his meds except one that the hospital dr forgot to have written. His therapist called it in so I drove 20 mi to pick it up. I get home and they did not give me the correct prescription. They sent me home with an old prescription that should of been returned to the shelves. The woman I spoke with only cared about lecturing how I supposedly did not get the wrong prescription. She even went so far as to suggest it was an ongoing prescription when in fact it was not. It had been changed and he was not going to take it. So his insurance was charged for something that will be thrown away and I not only got no explanation about why I didn’t get the prescription I was suppose to pick up but no apology for messing up. She was rude and confrontational. My son will have to wait another day because it’s not their fault they didn’t give me the correct prescription. The only thing clarified was they did in fact have the correct prescription since this morning. I guess it’s a mystery why I don’t have it and instead have a prescription that I won’t use so it’s a waste. Her behavior was rude and there are plenty of other places to get prescriptions. I finally hung up when it was clear all she had was an attitude. Do better. It was not the prescription I drove over for. You have no idea how much I needed my son to rest better tonight so I can sleep better. Everyone uses the excuse they are overworked and understaffed. It is no excuse for being rude and unprofessional."
"Absolutely the rudest pharmacy I have ever been to. Not only did they not provide my prescription, I also didn't receive a call of any kind letting me know that my script was not being filled. They also felt the need to announce to the entire pharmacy that my fiancé did not have insurance, which was awesome. Everytime I go to the Mt. Vernon road pharmacy they have a wonderful way judging every customer in there at the time."
