Trailside Dog Park

"I’ve been thankful for this park for holiday visits and appreciate the guest pass option. I’m saddened to see the neglect of this park over the past few years from both the municipality and humans. Spring often means mud - this park is full of it most all of the time. Bad humans mean poo. This park is full of it. I filled four bags on one visit as I could not ignore it and hated my dog running through it. Would love to see more love and pride for this community asset."

"Aggressive dogs are allowed to roam around this park unchecked, several attacks have occured. Based on other reviews, this is a repetitive issue and no action has been taken. Only a matter of time until someone defends their dog by any means necessary."

"The city of Waukee has allowed an aggressive Doberman to continue using the facilities after several incidents. The city’s response is always “we will talk to them and if it happens again they MIGHT have access revoked,” then it happens again. Photo shows what happened to my dog while trying to sniff hello to the Doberman."

"The city of Waukee continues to allow Sabbeth into the dog park who has continuously attacked dogs. Sabbaths owner does nothing to stop the attack. We will not be going back. Very disappointing."
