"I recently took the “Pull the Trigger” class from Tyrone and it was excellent. He covered the basics of handgun safety, ownership, knowledge, and skills, and backed it with real life examples, not only in scenarios but with hands on demos. He was open to questions and took the time to answer them thoroughly. He made the class fun and enjoyable, all while making sure everyone was getting what they needed out of it. The opportunity to shoot at the simulator was fun, shooting at range was an added bonus. (Guns were available if you didn’t bring your own). All in all a very positive experience. I would highly encourage anyone that’s new to handguns, or even someone that needs refresher, to take this class. There’s always new information to learn. I also purchased several things from the store while I was there and the sales staff were equally great. They answered questions, explained options, and pointed me in the right direction, all without being pushy. And when they didn’t have a magazine on hand that I was looking for they ordered it for me. Great bunch, all the way around."
"Great people, great facility! Prices are about what you would find in most other places me but they're pretty fair overall. The range is clean and the filtration system works well. The target retrieval systems work OK, but sometimes they fail to function. Failures are usually short lived."
"So just had my second experience at their indoor range and my first experience buying at Midwest Shooting. The staff were all very professional and well educated when it came to fire arms. I was testing out different everyday carry options and the staff knew exactly what models I was wanting to trying. The indoor range was very clean and straight forward; I can't wait to go back. I did a trade in and got a new pistol the same day. Since it wasn't stated as an fyi, trade-in is half MSRP and kit firearms aren't accepted, which as a whole makes perfect sense given the liability and the fact they are a business. The staff on duty (Levi) was stellar, he had plenty of recommendations as far as a new RMR and even helped with the install (I did the final tightening for the record) in shop which is above and beyond what I've experienced at other local companies. Pricing was very fair as when compared to MSRP. I will definitely return! Thanks Midwest!"
"Fun for the whole family! Also a little more expensive than I’d like but it’s a fun experience. For an hour for five of us with a .22, Glock, and purchase of ammo, earplugs, eye wear, and targets was around $200+. The staff is mega helpful and friendly, definitely recommend!"
"I have absolutely nothing to say, but great things. Levi was fantastic to work with and, as a first-time gun owner, the try-before-you-buy program (you get to fire three weapons, five bullets from each, for ten dollars) was perfect and I found something I am very happy with. He took time to explain all the details, such as the differences between ammo and how to take care of my weapon. I've since purchased a membership, which allows me to use their indoor range so that I won't be freezing at an outdoor range this winter while I practice. I had been to other places around town and had less than great experiences. At Midwest Shooting, the environment was super relaxed, but they knew what they were talking about and I was able to feel comfortable enough to ask questions."
