And I already smashed my head against the wall for doing something that stupid so rest easy. I just didn't want to admit defeat against an inanimate object. Or anyway at least not a flathead screw, I mean come on! I've turned those kinds of screws all my life but these ones wouldn't budge. Anyway, David gave me an expected time of 4 days due to other gunsmithing tasks for other customers, but called me the very next day with it finished! I had inquired at a different local gunsmith before him and was given a timeline of almost 2 months to do it due to how much work they already had backlogged from other customers, it was understandable but frustrating.
