"I’m not really sure where to start with the grateful heart that my family has for Katy and Trish at Studio 409. We started our experience here on a Tuesday because my beautiful wife had a wig voucher from her oncology doctor, Doctor Hiatt. When we were there to get an idea of wig shape, color and fit, these two amazing ladies made us feel like they had all the time in the world for our 11:30am appointment. They worked so lovingly and at length to match my wife’s hair likeness. I can’t describe how they truly made us feel like family in a very traumatic event….or what we thought would be traumatic. Because my sister-in-law who had been in town from Florida was helping us and was leaving the following week, they moved heaven and earth to get my wife’s wig here by Friday….and three days later….it was here. Because Katy and Trish were so amazing, they asked all the questions and found out that our 22 year old daughter was going to donate her middle of her back locks to Locks For Love. They openly offered that if we all wanted to come back as a family on Friday, they would fit my wife with her wig and then, cut my daughter’s hair according to how LFL would want it cut. It doesn’t end there. They completely okayed us bringing in charcuterie, Champagne and cake to celebrate the final cutting of my wife’s chemo hair and the proper care and shearing of my daughter’s hair to support her mother. They treated us like family in their studio living room. We had tribal support of 8 family friends there to say the F word to cancer, plus our two new family members, Katy and Trish. Studio 409, you are forever family to us and we love you."
