"We came in looking for one item and came out with a few "oh yeah, we need some of those too" items. The only real complaint I had were that the isles are a little crowded. I've noticed this with a few Dollar Generals so I think it's a corporate layout issue and not an issue with individual stores. The staff we saw was just one person at the time so I assume they keep very busy but they were friendly with us as we walked in. I do appreciate the option for self check out and our visit in and out went fairly smooth. I plan to take some time later and go through each isle to see what all they have."
"Be careful shopping here if you are a minority. My niece was shopping at the Harrisburg location and asked to empty her pockets in order to use the bathroom. Once they saw that she had not stolen anything they couldn't even offer up an apology. The GM for Harrisburg/ Sioux Falls stores didn't care, even though this practice violated thier own policies. Shame on them for allowing such racist behavior!"
