"Carey has her own private hair studio, and I had a great experience there! I went as a first time client for a haircut after a very long time in between cuts due to COVID-19. Her workspace is cozy and clean. She dutifully followed hand washing protocol, and wore both a mask and face shield. She listened to what I was looking for in a cut, how I typically care for my hair, and took her time to do a great job. The experience did not feel rushed, as it can with a typical salon experience. Carey has worked to hone in her craft on the care and cutting of curly hair. She is also a gifted colorist, and I love how she knows just where to place highlights to get the best shine on my curls.
