"Drove over an hour for a first haircut and arrived at 6:05 for a 6:00 appointment because my daughter couldn’t hold her pee, and was refused to be seen. I even called to give them a heads up and staff was very unfriendly. Stylist wasn’t even ready and it would have been a little trim in a 30 min time slot. Horrible experience for a place that is supposed to be kid-friendly."

"The receptionist is beyond rude, on the phone and in person. She yelled at my 3 year old for playing with the cars they had for sale. (I was trying to pay which is the only reason I had my eye off of him for a second.) I don’t need strangers scolding my children (which she did multiple times). The lady who cut my 3 year olds hair was beyond rough with him while he was crying. No compassion. She talked to him like he was a teenager and was just acting up when he was just scared. I’ll never be back. I dropped $80 there. Never again. They lady who cut my 5 year olds hair was very kind though. I feel bad that she works in that toxic environment."

"I made an appointment over a month in advance for the first haircut package for my 1 year old, and the morning of the appointment, they told me that they could not accommodate my scheduled appointment due to illness. I completely understand this, as people get sick. Despite my 1 year old’s nap schedule (the reason for the morning appointment in the first place and the need to book out so far in advance), I agreed to the change in appointment time. Then, that appointment was suddenly not available and it was moved to another later time. I asked to speak to a manager to see if they could please work with me, as we all know toddlers can be little monsters when sleepy, and I had made the appointment so far in advance due to these challenges. The receptionist staff (Laura) was extremely rude, yelled at me, and hung up on me. I spoke to the owner (Tara) and calmly tried to explain my frustration and how poorly I was treated as a customer, and she also yelled at me, wouldn’t let me speak, and told me not to bother coming. I’m horrified at Iowans treating other Iowans this way, as well as the unwillingness and inability to listen and come to a productive solution. This is NOT the kind of business that anyone should support. I caution everyone and advise to look elsewhere!"

"Had a great experience here! My son loved the little cars they had for kids to sit in and that there was a little screen so he could watch bluey. Kayla cut my sons hair and she was so friendly and did great with him! His hair looks great (especially considering she was fixing a botched home hair cut!) I will definitely be bringing him back in the future!"
