"9/29/2023. I will have to say todays visit to the Johnston Station Great clips is probably one of my worst experiences with a business ever. If I could give 0 Starts I would as that is what this location deserves. I tried to get a hair cut during a break at work. I used the app to check in I waited until it said 1 min and you are up and then I drove the 2 min to the location. Once there even though the app said i was up, There was a gentleman in front of me in line and 2 people in the chairs getting hair cuts. After sitting in the store for 45 min and still waiting for the guy ahead of me to even go and now 4 or 5 additional people have entered the store because the app told them it was time . The manager decided even though we had been waiting for 45 min she would let her employees go to lunch. This left just her in the store. After waiting an additional 20 min and the guy ahead of me had still not gotten into the chair I was out of time and wasted my entire hour long break and was not able to get a hair cut. I do not understand why you even have an app if it can still be over an hour off. When I asked the manager at the store why she would let her employees all go with so many people in the store she got defensive and started making excuses about lack of employees and how it was not here fault. I asked her for the contact information for the Person in charge of that location and she refused to give it to me and told me that the head manager would just give me the same excuses. I have used this store for years and never seen this manager. I cannot believe you can stay in business if this is how you operate. I would still like to discuss with the actual person in charge."

"Although I live in Ankeny I chose to use the Johnston location for my haircut. I could check in online and get in faster than I could at either Great Clips near me. The stylist listened to me and gave me the cut I was looking for."

"I come here regularly for a high and tight haircut. They get it right every time and go a step further and offer a rinse. My only gripe is check-in online, which is not on par. That is not their fault. Other than the online times being off. Great haircut and stylist."

"Online check-in quotes for this location are an absolute joke. I don't understand how their quotes are so far off every single time. Other locations in my area are nothing like this one. It's worth driving further to go elsewhere, and actually saves me time in the long run."
