"It is a quaint little local bar that, on Tuesday evening, was quite enough to carry-on a conversation. The staff was extremely friendly and constantly checked on us. Although food is served here, I didn't eat. I have heard that the food is tasty."

"The owner has taken a real stance against children. With no backbone to actually face the mothers directly, they pressure their staff to come and order the children around. I felt sorry for the staff last night as they actually said "we don't want to do this, but we have been told off twice by the owner already", the child's crime? Placing more sand on the shuffle board, she actually became a little celebrity for the night by helping the players retrieve the pucks from either end. She harmed no-one with what she was doing and sat down watching most of the time. I'm sure it's a lovely place normally but taking an obvious stance against children (look at previous reviewers) will catch up with you very quickly. The staff are incredible people, we will be back, hopefully getting to meet the owner this time but not holding my breath."

"When we can we frequent Brownies on Wednesday and Friday nights. We love to go for music bingo. The service is always good and we like the hometown vibe!"

"Went on a Wednesday. Everything (had the hickory burger & tots) was great until music bingo started - was a bit too loud to even think about having any conversation. If you're not into loud music bingo, avoid Wednesday evening & it'll be great!"

"Ate dinner here one Saturday. Enjoyed one of their good sized pork tenderloins and washed it down with a couple of pitchers of beer. Atmosphere was great and the staff was attentive and fun. We sat inside because of the rain but will enjoy sitting outside next time we eat here. Great American bar vibe with good food and good service, what could be better."
