"I must've come on an off day or Perry, IA has no clue what good BBQ is. Brisket sandwich was ok but dry. Frips are apparently soggy fried potato chips full of grease. Idk. Guess I expected better after reading the other reviews. Service was good."
"Drove 35 minutes to try this place with a family member. It was a worth every penny. I’m writing this review about 6 hours later craving more."
"Some of the worst food that I've had in my life. We were very hopeful that this place would be good because there aren't many restaurants in my area. They say they are open 3 hours a day, but I never see them open so maybe they closed down. We were finally able to get in and they said everything that we tried to order was unavailable. I asked what was available and they said only pulled pork sandwiches. We got those and the buns were dripping wet soggy with water. The meat had zero flavor. Their service was very rude, like it was my fault that they were out of literally their entire menu except pulled pork. I'm not surprised that they are rarely open. I'm surprised that they're allowed to be open at all."
"great service, hot and fresh food. best baked beans ever. cute little spot"
"Was not that impressed. The only menu that shows up on my smart phone showed bbq ribs and chicken. Got there and it's like nope to either one. So I'd read some say how good the brisket was. So, we are thinking we are getting a brisket dinner, when all it was was a sandwich. Not much smoke (if any) the BBQ sauce (and I got "spicy" was about one little squirt and bland not spicy at all. Beans were OK, but the coleslaw was watery with no real taste. We have a much better option in Boone, so I think we'll just stick to the tried and true from now one."
