"Cute little park with play ground equipment and a walking trail ( some non paved) with a couple of bridges. Very peaceful."
"Wonderful little park located in a nice neighborhood with food options close by. All the equipment is in great condition, and the split playgrounds for older and younger kids was really great too."
"Cool climbing playground for older kids, smaller playground for younger nice long trail through the woods, basketball courts, and a nice picnic area, with bathrooms. Great use of green space along the interstate!"
"Interesting park tucked away in an out-of-the-way part of West Des Moines. Some nice amenities it has: - Dedicated parking - Full size basketball court (could use a little updating) - Bathrooms - Multi-part shelter (there are several picnic tables under several little awnings) - A decent length walking trail/path that winds around through a little wooded area What's surprising is just how big this park is, especially compared to most other parks that occupy literally as little space as possible. The interstate being so close detracts a little bit from what would otherwise be a pretty idyllic area, but it's not bad as you get over towards the play areas. While there are two playsets, one of them would be fun for smaller kids whereas the one intended for bigger kids is really just a big spider/rope climbing thing, a bigger than-normal rock and a set of steep slides - so I don't know that it would keep older kids occupied for too long."
"Great for my small little three year old and even some equipment for older children. If haven't been its definitely worth a shot. Great seating areas with overhanging roofs and good lighting. Also two different jungle gyms for beginners and more advanced. Also great views and spectacular trail to hike. Love living in this area and a lot of great families here younger and older. Cant wait till this summer!"
