"They were short staffed when we visited, but the manager was on top of everything and very attentive. We received free fries soon after we sat down and free drinks to go. The food itself was delicious and actually didn't take that long to arrive. We really appreciate the work the manager and the staff put in."
"The hostess and server were kind and welcoming. However, the server never checked in on us. Dinners arrived cold. Charged extra for the included any choice bottomless fries. The three types of fries were over saturated with oil and very soft. Pretzel bits were too firm. Coleslaw was too oily and had an unpleasant taste. The ribs were red, as it seemed under cooked but had decent flavor. The manager never showed themselves in a practically empty restaurant. My family's dinner wasn't worth the $100+ price. Not returning and not recommending this Red Robin to anyone."
"I was seated by the manager and missed the lunch rush. They had hot fries on my table in 2 minutes. Great attention and the burger was fantastic!"
"We went as a group of 5 people on my friend’s birthday. They got 3 of the 5 orders wrong. They just gave us some excuses on why the orders were wrong. They didn’t even offer to remake the wrong stuff. One person ordered the veggie burger, and they mistook it for a ‘wedgie’. We understood that the names were very similar, and were ready to eat it anyway, but it literally had just the patty and one tomato slice. No smashed avocado, onions or bacon. When we asked them about it, they wanted to give us the stuff of the side. Ordered a side of garlic fries, and they were dripping in oil. The store manager came by after a while, and we were trying to explain what was wrong with our order. The guy, after getting 3 of 5 orders wrong, has the audacity to tell me “DON’T GIVE ME ATTITUDE“!! Then he storms off saying that our entire bill is written off, like we were there for charity! We still paid for the stuff that they got right, but we will never go back there. Had some good experience with Red Robin a while back, but this time it was very disappointing."
"5 Stars: Red Robin's Unofficial Mascot - Mitch the Duck! We meant to post this Oh, what a night to remember at Red Robin Burgers in West Des Moines! Mitch, having lost a bet, had the "honor" of dining in the most absurdly hilarious Donald Duck costume imaginable. With a fluffy white bottom that wobbled comically with his every step, blindingly yellow tights that left nothing to the imagination, and gigantic webbed feet that made every step a clumsy adventure, Mitch was the embodiment of a duck out of water. The Red Robin staff went above and beyond, ensuring Mitch's humiliation was as savory as the burgers. They didn’t just serve him; they serenaded him with quips and playful jabs, turning him into the restaurant’s unofficial mascot for the evening. As Mitch attempted to mimic the poise of the Red Robin statue, his ridiculous waddle and theatrical gestures had the entire restaurant in stitches. Each pose was more outrageous than the last, each moment more cringe-worthy, making it impossible for patrons not to pause mid-bite to join in the laughter. The grand finale? Mitch's enthusiastic, albeit awkward, rendition of the "duck dance," which will go down in history as the most joyously embarrassing performance this side of the pond. Kudos to Red Robin for not only embracing the spectacle but enhancing it, ensuring that every customer left with a story to tell. To Mitch, thank you for being the hero we never knew we needed, and to Red Robin, your mix of hearty meals and hearty laughs is unmatched."
