"I suffer from extreme dental anxiety due to a lot of dental trauma as a child. I went in for a root canal today because Dr. Morio had identified a tooth that needed to be replaced. I shared with her my fears, and she spoke to me very kindly and reassured me that I could trust her and that she would never drill until she was confident my tooth was numb. The numbing process can trigger a lot of anxiety for me, and Dr. Morio did an incredible job of distracting me. It was the FIRST time I have never felt pain while being numbed. If I could see her every time I needed to be numbed, I would in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, I am one of the rare patients where the tooth was unable to be numbed. She tested the tooth after complete numbing to see if I could feel the cold placed on my tooth. I could. I have so much respect for Dr. Morio not pushing me to continue with the procedure. She recommended IV sedation and we will be doing that next week. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Morio and her staff. They were all kind, compassionate, and empathetic! She really is the expert in her field!"
