Reviews of United States Postal Service
"I really appreciate all the hard work our postal workers provide to each and all of our communities. Especially seniors, disabled, disabled veterans, and people who are specially challenged. My visit today was exceptional as I walked away with a smile. Thank you, United States Postal Workers!"
"An infant could do a better job than these geriatric tarts. 9 out of 10 packages I order get returned to sender because "the address is incomplete" although I've followed address syntax recommendations precisely. I don't have a physical address and rely on this office to handle my packages with courtesy and professionalism, both of which this office lacks entirely. If I had any other options I would jump on them in a heartbeat."
"This post office is the most incompetent, irresponsible post office I've ever dealt with! The mail carriers don't know how to do their jobs and make continuous mistakes in delivering the mail and packages at my address. On one occasion I had a box carelessly left at my door without a care in the world and there was no excuse for that type of delivery since we have a mailbox with huge compartments for deliveries that accommodate boxes! On another occasion I had ordered something online and paid for "Priority Mail" delivery and this stupid mail carrier left a ridiculous note indicating that they were unable to access my mailbox due to it being blocked which was a flat out lie!! I called the P.O. 1 800 # to file a complaint and they did absolutely nothing about it and gave me useless endless apologies which did me no good! I should of had my money refunded for the delivery since they failed to deliver my packages via Priority for what I paid for!! I recently received a piece of mail in my mailbox (see attach. pic) that was supposed to be delivered to a recipient in Fallon, and I live in Fernley. Also, the white female mail carrier with blond hair who delivers at my address needs to stop eating in her postal truck and then disposing of her garbage in our dumpster on our property, whereas she needs to take her breaks/lunch when she's NOT out on deliveries!! These mail carriers need to be held accountable for their heedless actions and receive appropriate disciplinary actions up to including termination for not doing their jobs correctly!! Perhaps maybe the USPS should start random drug screening on their mail carriers to insure that they are not working under the influence of drugs or alcohol, which I feel could be a contributing factor in all of these mail errors!! There is NO EXCUSE for the constant and continuous screw-ups from these mail carriers who receive such exemplary hourly wages for doing their jobs!!!!"
"As a retired Postmaster, I was appalled at the service I received at this post office. They DO NOT answer their phone, there is no way to contact them to discuss a delivery issue, for me necessitating an 80 mile round trip to talk to them in person. That did absolutely no good at all, even after I stood at the counter and watched the clerk write out carrier instructions. Those instructions were ignored, my parcel sent back a third time, and now I do not have either my item or my money. I am furious.....if I had done that while a postmaster, I would have been fired. Some kind of intervention needs to happen at this office, it is a disgrace to USPS."
"It is absolutely bewildering how much this post office messes the simplest things up, and it is even more astounding that NONE of the employees care enough about their jobs to do anything about resolving any of the issues. Lets not talk about how I have missing mail/packages at least once a month, or how they NEVER answer the phone. Let us talk about how I was supposed to receive a notification about replacement mailboxes being installed, but I didn't (nor did anyone on my street), so now I don't have a way to check my mail. I went down to the post office on my one day off to try and get a key, it was explained to me that they were trying a "new method" of distributing the new keys and "it didn't work out". So now I will have to wait on them to change my lock again, the employee took my information and gave me a new set of keys corresponding to the "new" lock that she assured me, would be installed the following day (If only it would have been that easy). I have tried to unlock my mailbox everyday for weeks now and the key I was given still doesn't work. I call them multiple times a day, everyday, and they have only answered the phone ONCE. On that day I was told that they would be changing the locks at 8pm that night (strange but okay). It has now been 4 days since that call and my keys still do not work. I haven't been able to get through on the phone since, now I must wait till my next solitary day off until I can go down there and try to get this resolved. The last time I was able to pick up my mail was October 22nd it is now November 7th. What an absolute cluster, I am whole heartedly amazed at how terrible this facility is operated. I am almost convinced that the employees are purposefully messing things up. I've seen fast food employees that are more competent than the group of people who "work" here. I will update this review when, and if, this issue is ever resolved. :)"
