Reviews of Dairy Queen Store
"I haven’t been to this DQ in years and there was a reason for that. However after the new management I figured they deserve a chance to form new opinions of their own after the rocky past of this establishment. We went in for a couple simple treats. My wife wanted one of those cake in a cup deals and I decided on a shake. It took quite a long time for any of the employees behind the counter to notice a line of people at the register in front of their faces. No eye contact, no “sorry, we’ll be right with you”… nothin. During this time I decided to look around a little more and let my eyes wander. I noticed the return vents in the ceiling hadn’t been cleaned in years. Incredibly dirty, rusty, and even possibly moldy for all I know. The floor in the kitchen was disgusting. You can tell they haven’t cleaned under or behind their equipment in a long time. At least not well. The walls of the kitchen were in bad shape and very dirty and even had splatters up near the top and I thought “how does someone splatter the top of a wall and never clean it off?” Eventually someone came to take our order. They asked my wife to check the freezer for her cake in a cup and she stated the only one in there did not look very fresh or even prepared very well at all so she wanted a fresh one to take home. After paying for the order, the lady preparing it came to ask again if she checked the freezer. My wife is more of a timid and kind hearted person but once again said the one in the freezer didn’t look good so she was just wanting a fresh one. This lady appeared to keep explaining how they usually put them in the freezer to set up and to me just appeared to be trying to steamroll excuses not letting my wife speak so that way she would avoid making it. Eventually she made it… however I immediately threw my shake in the trash after 3 sips of it because it tasted like strawberry yogurt that was left out of the fridge too long. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the outcome. Maybe the new management isn’t quite the right fit for leadership either? Or perhaps the sad truth is this establishment is destined for failure. I know I won’t be back."
"I came in and ordered a cake and was given the best customer service ever ! Her name was Tierra. She was so kind and patient! Not my first time at the location and she is always super helpful, and gets everything I need in an orderly fashion."
"Avoid this location at all costs. Go anywhere but here. I should’ve known to keep driving just based on the condition of the building and the parking lot, seriously this building needs to be shut down and condemned by the city. The employees didn’t do anything wrong, but the guy (mid 40s) seemed like a drug user perhaps, and certainly weren’t friendly (I’d never imagine the cheap owner has something to do with that). The female employee that handed me my blizzard didn’t really look like she wanted to be there, that’s really my only way to describe her appearance. The food was my main concern. The ranch sauce smelled spoiled. The toast was burnt and I believe I bit into something rubbery, I don’t want to know what it was. The chicken fingers were absolutely disgusting, I bit into one and thought I was going to vomit. I also purchased a blizzard, and I can’t describe it, but something was just off about it and everything else. The fries had a very strange texture. I mean, the food was served in a box, kinda like the one you get in prison or in the military. Just weird. I haven’t been too impressed by anything in this town as far as food is concerned, but at the same time I haven’t gone to any length to review anything either. This establishment needs to get closed down. I’m not sure if the corporate side of things has any decision making power, but I sure hope the owner is banned from ever operating a food serving establishment again."
"I got a blizzard that was 8 dollar's. It was a true medium but when I asked the lady working there if it was a large she gave me the stink eye and said yes in a very rude way. She had me pull around and wait for the banana split my son ordered when the guy handed it to me it almost fell on the ground because he didn't even give me a chance to grab it. They filled the container so full it dripped all over my car and into my son's lap. When we got home we had to put it in a bigger container and it was just a sloppy mess. Pretty sure they did that because I asked if mine was really a large.. I get it... the pay prob sucks and im sure working there does too."
"First no open signs were on, we were the only ones here, didn't get cheese curds as ordered, only one ranch (paid for 2) onion rings were massive and soggy, asked for mustard, got honey mustard, and both tender meals, fries and curds were so dark and tasted burnt (I'm guessing due to old oil.) They were out of cherry coke and ice cream sandwiches. For $27 I got to take my kids home and make them dinner."
