"Owner is completely mad. Look at her responses to people and it shows how she runs her business. I'm amazed she's allowed to own horses let alone an entire business. Do not go here. Red flags all over the place."
"The owner is very good in her profession as a horse trainer. She teaches all students to what they need to be a good rider. The grooming, how to handle a horse, the safety of each student. With sometimes a little training on what it takes for chores for a horse. It’s not easy work because every child, horse and parent has their own version of what should and how things should be done. But for the owner she is soft spoken, very appreciative and concerned what goes on in her barn. One teacher, older students that have passed the owner’s approval to help out. She has taught for many years. Her students have won many horse shows from the knowledge given to them from Chase."
"At first we really loved taking our daughter here, but the more we had interactions with the owner we kept seeing red flags and warning signs I wish we listened to more. We can no longer recommend this place as safe for children to learn and appreciate horses. The owner personally attacked and bullied our daughter over what was proven to be a simple misunderstanding and completely the fault of the owner and their dishonesty and lack of communication. The horses and most of the staff here are wonderful and I do not want to shed a bad light on them. Our issue is with the owner and how she treated our daughter. Our daughter has made many friends there and has created deep connections with some of the horses. She is completely heartbroken and still does not understand what she did that caused such a reaction from the owner (someone she came to trust and admire). Speaking with other parents this is not an isolated incident and more of a pattern with this person. I will not go into details because this involves other children as well, but the manner of the text messages and communication between the owner and our daughter was outrageous and can be considered grounds for charges of harassment against a minor. I was hesitant to write a review because of the retaliation I fully expect to see from the owner (just look at how she has responded to others comments if you need examples, gaslight much?). I just wanted to fully walk away from this place and put the whole experience behind us, but I felt it was important to share our experience with Chasing Laurels to help others make an informed decision on where to take their children for horse lessons. Based on testimony from many other parents there are far better places to take your children who have a deep love of horses. Edited due to response from owner: The owners is once again twisting a situation to try to make herself a victim, and gaslight someone else. I told the owner to stop making false statements about my daughter and to leave us alone after I found out about additional comments being made. I told them we would be forced to take further legal action if she cannot stop the slanderous statements. I did raise my voice when speaking with the owner, which I regret, but I do not regret what I said. That started with asking the owner to stop and has escalated from there, but I will always defend and protect my children and do what is necessary. It is very unfortunate this situation has come to this point and hopefully this will be the end of it. I wish Chasing Laurels well and success in the future. There are some good people and good animals there that do deserve support."
"We had our child's birthday party here! Chase is fantastic. She has wonderful and polite helpers. Helped make the party flow. She made all the kids feel welcomed, and invited. She picked the best horses. All well behaved, and can tell these horses are so loved ❤️ I highly recommend her for your next party or riding lessons. Not to mention, VERY affordable. Thank you so much!"
"We LOVE Chasing Laurels! My daughter has been riding here for almost a year. She has bonded with Misty. They are very close. She is the sweetest horse. Chase is a very good instructor. She takes her time with my daughter's learning style. Chase is very patient and soft spoken. She's always laughing and playing with the children. My daughter has made a lot of friends at Chasing laurels during the barn days and overnight camps. I'm so happy we've chosen Chasing Laurels as the place for our riding lessons. I truly recommend it. You won't regret it."
