"7 years later and I still have never received my money back or the balloon ride. They kept rescheduling due to weather and never got my money back since I signed a contract stating NO refunds, the card company declined my request of getting my money back. Stay away from this company! As you can see the one star reviews speak for themselves."
"Danny was quick to respond to my 1-star review like he was waiting for it. The only thing he said that was untrue was me crying and my wife yelling at me? Speaks volumes about his character, which is trashy, rude and fake. Look anywhere online, he is the worst. I was 3 minutes late, they were gone and he did tell us to be there on time. There you go Danny, not going to lie, my fault, life happens. Sounds like it would've been a disappointment had we gotten to go up anyway. Called him and there was nothing he was willing to do. Moral of the story- READ THE OTHER REVIEWS and don't be late, it's all about him and money, period. I see your 33 years worth of 5-star reviews Danny- not. Should've known better."
"The pilot seemed very knowledgeable and well qualified. I never felt that we were in danger. We enjoyed the flight! If you choose to book, you should know what to expect. When we booked, it was for a special occasion, but the weather wasn't good and we had to re-schedule....many, many times....until we were in a completely different year and 9 months after our original date. Just know that you may not get to go on the date you had hoped for. We arrived at the scheduled meeting spot on the south side of Des Moines for a 5:30pm departure, and after 2 weather check stops along the way, arrived at the launch location somewhere south of Indianola. There was only one support crew, so while the pilot, crew member and my husband helped prep the balloon, I visited with the other two people who would be flying. I enjoyed talking with them - if I hadn't enjoyed time with them, the whole experience would have been much less enjoyable, and I probably would have been irritated that everything took so long, that the balloon wasn't ready for us when we arrived, that the space was so very tight in the balloon basket. We got in the air at 7:20 and were in the air for half an hour. I expected that the flight would be an hour plus as indicated on the website, but that didn't turn out to be the case; I don't know why not. With 5 adults in the balloon basket, it was indeed tight quarters with barely enough room to turn around. After landing, we waited for the chase van to get to us. I don't know when we left the landing site, but it was about 10:00pm when we were back at the meetup location, drank the Martinelli's sparkling cider, and the outing was finished. Again, it was a long outing for a 30 minute flight, and if I hadn't enjoyed the other two people that were there, it would have been a whole different story. (We didn't know them before this.) There is a strong push throughout for the customers to pay extra over the price paid for the flight to the crew member(s). I would expect that they be hired by the business, but apparently that's not how it's done. The customers are welcome/encouraged to help set up and take down and pack up the balloon. Some probably enjoy being part of that and some probably would not enjoy that as they would expect more "service" for their money, so to each his own on that. I knew all this going in, so it was fine. I could have wished it was more efficiently run, and I wish that the flight would have been more than 30 minutes."
